Petitioners paint Obama as ‘misogynist’ who’s ‘alienating’ women

A petition on the White House website is calling for President Obama to stop referring to female constituents in his many speeches as “wives, mothers and daughters.”“Defining women by their relationships to other people is reductive, misogynist, and alienating to women,” the petition to the Obama administration states.

Although I found it laughable in the SoTU speech that Obama would be taking credit for equality, and parity in the workplace between men and women, when the fact is that in his own house the disparity is about 16% for women working the exact same jobs as men, now it seems that Obama has to deal with the PC police, and outrage anarchists as well....

If it were Romney it would be an issue.

You found the SoTU address funny because you feel he doesn't have much disparity in his cabinet, right? What percentage would he need to have to find his statement not funny, 50%?

The article also pointed out how President Obama referred to women in terms of their relationship to men. Although I'm not convinced that he's a misogynist that is language that sends out a red flag and would have been scrutinized if it were Romney or any Republican who said it instead.

You don't seem to understand the point.

What's funny is his own PC crowd finally getting on his case. You should be asking them what percentages they would be happy with.

And as for Obama taking credit for anything, that too is laughable. You must know that!

There was also a book out about sexism in Obama's White House but the women quoted said they were misquoted after the book was published.

I've never heard of it. I'm not convinced he's a misogynist though under his administration women have been give more opportunities like with the new roles opening up to them in the military, although I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not
