    LOL...‘misogynist’ and ‘alienating’ women...LOL

Petitioners — as of Friday morning, there were 2,223 of them...
    Meanwhile in reality world...

55 per cent of female voters voted to re-elect Barack Obama - and with women making up 53 per cent of the electorate, those numbers were enough to play a significant role in keeping the GOP out of the White House.

Republicans fared particularly poorly among single women, 67 per cent of whom voted for Obama while just 31 per cent supported Romney.

I think he'll take those results.

LOL...Don't you macho cons get tired of crying every day? I mean I know Boehner is your beloved leader and all...but, c'mon.

I am sure there are times when he referred to men as Fathers, sons, and husbands. These aren't controversial terms.

And as for Obama taking credit for anything, that too is laughable. You must know that!
I got the point, it is just a very manufacture point by people who have nothing better to do than find reasons to not like the President. And I guarantee there is no percentage to make these people happy.

    good.
I don't think Obama is a misogynist. (Isn't Valerie Jarrett his most trusted advisor?)

    From the NY Times:

While the White House itself employs about an equal number of men and women under President Obama, the gender ratio of appointees in 11 of the 15 cabinet departments favors men.

    From the Washington Times:

But President Obama’s own record on closing the gender pay gap is less than stellar. Using late 2011 figures, the latest available at the time, The Washington Times earlier this year surveyed 121 White House employees who were paid at least $100,000 and found that 47 were women and 74 were men. That is only slightly better than in 2003, the third year of the Bush administration, when 39 of the top 121 employees were women.

There is no record I could find of Obama ever referring to "fathers, sons, and husbands", no matter the previous posters certainty.

    I read it.

It was a really well written article/blogger opinion piece. Thanks for sharing.

Romney and other other Republicans routinely use this language. I can't recall it ever being scrutinized in this fashion, although I'm sure someone has raised complaints before.

Re: Petitioners paint Obama as ‘misogynist’ who’s ‘alienating’ women

I wouldn't consider someone a misogynist simply for using poor choices in language. Given how sexism integrated itself into language, most people don't really even really think about the implications of what they say. What matters is how they react after they informed of the negative connotations. If Obama changes his wording in future speeches, it was an honest mistake, if he doesn't, we have a problem.
