In my opinion, it won't be long before high school football either changes the rules dramatically or shuts down. Probably by insurance companies refusing to write policies to protect them from liability. It's a dangerous sport.
It is a dangerous sport. You're probably right: Before long, but after one or two successful lawsuits, the insurance industry will simply tell high schools that they're on their own if they decide to continue to have football teams.

Then, maybe we'll just join the rest of the world and play football they way they do.

and, if females can outplay males in some cases, so be it.

Some guys don't like strong women, but some do. It's a matter of individual choice.

All sports in HS, unless they are coed, should be banned, period. Schools shouldn't be NFL or NBA training camps. We're already sucking at trying to pay for and provide educational resources.

You sound fat. Were you always picked last at recess, or something?

To the point: What IF they allowed the girl to play? What would happen the very first time she gets hit the wrong way and suffers a concussion?

Ah, religious hypocrisy at its finest!

Since you insist on religious arrogance and homophobia when making your observations, some more reading might be best for you:

Luke 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Luke 6:41 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
John 8:7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
Romans 2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Romans 14:10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.
Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
James 4:11 Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

how is that different than what exists now? Also, student need to provide parental waivers to play on most school teams, for that exact reason

Oh, you could just as easily make the remark that if Joan of Arc was good enough to be with the boys on the battlefield, a girl might be able to handle the gridiron

Nope, just the opposite, always too skinny in HS. And we suffer the same parent lawsuits when boys get concussions. Study after study confirms what those hits do to our children. Not to mention once you've lived long enough to see your 20 year reunion, take a look at what's left of the BB team - if they can walk at all, their knees will be artificial.

But I realise the knuckledraggers won't give up their high school sports, even if it damages their children. The very least we can do then is to make them all coed. Title IX, look into it.

Nothing to see here folks, just more of the CC showing it's true sexist colors.
Girls playing sports that boys play is perfectly reasonable, however, the girl is 11 yrs old and we all know that girls are reaching puberty at a younger age these days, and football being a high contact sport, I can see why this might be a problem - I can imagine the flack the Church would get if this girl complained that boys were touching her inappropriately, in her mind.

Besides, considering the advancements in understanding concussions and the cumulative harm they can cause in later years, why are children that young, who's brains aren't fully developed, playing such a high contact sport? It's clearly the choice of the child and her parents, but if it was my child she wouldn't be playing football at that age.

She did dress like a man, and she's a saint in the oh so misogynistic church.
