Well, they're filibustering their own guy...Funny thing is, the next nominee is not likely to be someone they like any better.

    Score 1 for AIPAC.

Won't the GOP ever learn? Obama has been mopping the floor up with them since 2009. In fact, if it were not for the heavily gerrymandered Ohio and PA congressional districts, the GOP would be completely out of power in DC today. But, yet, still they don't learn.

Obama learned. He shifted to the Center after the 2010 elections and has not looked back since. The GOP OTOH is drowning in tea. Fools.
Rubio a stooge ? Why exactly ? Also why is Rand Paul a stooge ?

Obama's been mopping the preverbial floor using the American middle class as his Mop Bucket...dunk, dunk.

And Obama shifting to the center ? How has he done that ? By raising taxes on everyone ? By backing labor unions by bailing out GM and giving public sector unions a large portion of the stimulus ?

The only fools are the people who look at the state of this Country and give Obama a thumbs up.

Because the nation's middle--you know those who rejected Mittens---will look at Rand and Rubio as pawns of the extrememe Right. Most Americans, most Senators, in fact, are fine with Hagel as Sec of D. Filibuster is not going to the help the Republican cause.

For more proof that OBama holds the Center---as if blowing out Romeny wasn;t enough---is the fact that most progressives are displeased with his efforts. From letting loose the drones to rejecting Occupy movement, Obama is pretty much what used to be defined a Moderate Republican.

BTW: Saying Obama is pro-Union is being really ignorant of the facts.
The State of the Unions : Cheap Motels and a Hotplate
During the first three years of the Obama administration (2009, 2010, 2011), union density fell from 12.3% to 11.8%, a decline of 4.1%. For the first three years of the George W. Bush presidency (2001, 2002, 2003), density went from 13.3% to 12.9%, a drop of 3%. Union membership declined by 563,000 during the Obama years, and 520,000 for Bush. So all of those wonderful things Obama did for workers didnít translate into more union members or higher union density.

All the evidence one needs to realize nothing's going to change with national elections until the dollar collapses.

What does the strength of the Dollar have to do with preventing a vote on Hagel for Secretary of Defense?

You Lib's again with the broad brushing and generalizations,

Look, 60 million moronic voters doesn't equate to the "Nation" and after your incompetent President is done with whats left of our economy, Rubio will be a great alternative to chronic joblessness and 20 trillion dollars of debt with a rising interest rate.

There is nothing moderate about Obama or Republican. Massive deficit spending, running our economy into the ground. No he's a Liberal through and through.

    Good Question.

But Cons are rejecting Hagel because it's an obvious BS Obama ploy to have "bipartisan" support to defending the military. He can't continue to fund 50 million people on Govt assistance unless the Military....goes away.

So, it's another one of those cases where the Right Wing minority knows best--40 enlightened souls in the Senate who can see through Obama's master plan to decimate the military so that he can fund the welfare state.

Is this the crap they're selling on Fox News these days?

It's like you weren't even alive during the Bush administration years.
