I am not mentioning rodrigo Borgia for his religion, I am saying he was corrupt, he bribed his to becoming pope. Who is to say that still happens?

And it was not just rodrigo Borgia that was corrupt pontiff, there were also the two Medici popes.

Power always corrupts. Invariably, it has however done so less as technology progresses and people start embracing their civic duties more.

What I found most interesting was the claim that it is because of his writings, largely unnoticed by the wider world, that would be a key reason for his future impact.

Hopefully the next pope will have a less "raping kids is okay" position with regard to his priests.

    The laity aren't that important.

    Just because that's common doesn't mean it's a requirement.

I was not saying it was a requirement I just noticed a pattern, now I know my assumption was wrong so thank you for proving me wrong

I've never really watched SNL. I like Colbert, I'll watch his show every once in a while but that's pretty much it as far as comedy goes.

    Good.

Now let's see if the CC can get somebody in power who thinks more like a 21st century realist.

These ancient relics that are trying to hold on to centuries old tradition need to step aside and enjoy their old age.
