It extends outside of you. It shapes your worldview, shapes how you vote and how you might act.

Oh boy. Here we go again. Such as, Medusa?

You aren't talking about the vague passages are you? You should watch PZ Myers and Hamza Tzortzis debate on Embryology. Tzortzis gets rocked (get the Islamic stoning reference) and a beatdown.

Either that or he is losing his mind and does not want to end up mumbling during his public speeches.

Either way, just another head of a useless religion...like all major ones are.

They are strictly for the weak and/or the ignorant and/or the desperate.

    No exceptions.

Evidence? Thomas Aquinas believed in a sperical earth, and he was basically cannon when it came to catholic philosophy.

Infact most people knew the earth was a sphere (post christianity) certainly in the 8th century, before that it was contested by various people, but where and when did the Church murder people who thought that the earth was round?

I hear they might be considering an American pope. Cardinal Sean O'Malley of Boston is apparently just one under consideration. There's another one from NY too.

NY is Dolan, who is a complete tool.

He would do more harm than good.

The RCC hated science passionately in the old days.

Anything that was contrary to their view of the world was labeled as heresy.

Sadly, some of that attitude has not changed.
