None of the above. God cannot be "defined" by simple human minds.

Yes religion is the root of ALL evil. Not money or power. It's a HUGE problem.

A better question is, why the hell doesn't it bother you?
Probably because, as Thomas Jefferson said quite well, "If it neither breaks my leg, nor picks my pocket, then what concern is it of me?"

If believing in God gives an old lady comfort in her old age, or helps a struggling family make it through the tough times, or keeps an otherwise good kid from committing a crime, then what the hell is so bad? See, your angry because you perceive that Christians want to convert you, when in reality, conversion can only truly happen if it is in your heart to begin with. And, believe it or not, Christians are not all milling around figuring new ways to upset you.

You ought to leave them alone, and they'll leave you alone....Doubt you can though.

    True Catholic pulls out early.

Try that and get back to me in thirty years and tell me how in worked out.

    Have a nice day.

Well, I hope to still be alive in thirty years. But I'll tell ya, you present yourself here as a 'liberal' from Europe, which would put you probably further left than anyone, including American liberals. Tell me, how that path worked out for Europe? Not so well in the modern world eh?

    Figure it out for yourself.
Aw, what's the matter? someone throw out a stupid comment about someone else, and now when directly confronted with it, doesn't have anything left to say? .... Yeah, go sit down.

Why don't you ask gay people who are kept from marriage largely because of the religious bigots of the world?
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Because that worked so well for blacks, who were kept as slaves largely because Christians thought their ridiculous book taught that blacks were inferior...

If the Bible says one thing about slavery being a bad thing I missed it.

Christianity is a great thing for slave owners.

It's not just what Christians have done, it's what they haven't done.

Where were the Christians in Europe when 6 million Jews and millions of 'others' were being massacred?

Do people go to hell for what they don't do?

    Any ideas?
