Allegations of preschool oral sex shock parents

I'd be wondering where the supervision was.

This is my only concern.

Because - believe it or not - kids do **** like this all the time. . . clinically: it's normal in childhood. They don't know all the 'adult' stuff about it . . . sometimes they just do stuff.

Which is why we have established rules in school such as 'no one is allowed to touch your no-no places' and so on that we review with children . . . kids are curious creatures - which is why adult supervision is key.

I recall a case 20, 30 years ago in California where a number of caregivers were charged in a similar case and it turned out to be 100 percent BS. Didn't happen, the kids were coached. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out.

The hysteria then was out of control. I remember people were leaving children to young to be on their own rather than putting them in day care.

Where the **** were the carers? They should be shot for letting that happen.

And I'd be concerned where they learnt that behaviour from.

Hey, don't think I'll allow you to break your liberal rule and teach abstinence to these little children. No no no!!

...

Exactly. This is NOT something pre-schoolers think to do normally and naturally, it is something they saw somewhere.

Somebody screwed up and let them see a porno?

Does anything HAVE to be aroused for it to be considered "oral sex"?

I wouldn't regard it as "sex" unless it resulted from some sort of arousal or titillation. Otherwise it's just imitative play, possibly as a result of watching one of daddy's DVDs.

So if an adult were to play with a childs genitals, and was not sexually aroused, you wouldn't consider it a sex crime?

If this is true, there is no doubt in my mind that at least one of the kids is being sexually abused at home. This is a case for CPS -- big time.

Sexually abused? Yes!

At home? Not necessarily

It looks like these children are spending a good deal of time in a pre-school where supervision is minimal.

the development of gender identity in children continues by 5 6 years of age.but it doesnt mean they know how to play sexual games

Unless an adult is sexually abusing their child. It is posible this is learned activity by the child who started it.

yes they dont know but they may learn it....l meant teh same thing

Do you mean to say that you think these children committed a crime?

No, I questioned your claim that sexual arousal is required for it to be considered "sex"

Is there any doubt that adults who sexually abuse children do so, at least in part, for their own sexual gratification and arousal?

However, I agree that the legal definition of sex apropos sexual abuse, rape, etc. does not require reference to any sort of arousal but is couched in terms of specific actions, contacts, penetrations, etc. I don't think it's appropriate to apply those definitions to prepubertal children playing with each other, though, or to regard the actions described in the OP as any sort of criminal behavior.

Yes. There is no doubt that some parents sexually abuse their children for reasons not involving their own sexual gratification

I agree that the children did not commit any crime of any sort, never mind a sex crime. I'm glad we could clarify the issue I asked about. The way you said it made me wince.

That's very strange. Do you have a citation or something about that?

For example, there are mothers who were abused by males when they were a child who then abuse their male childs genitals because they're the source of evil

Sometimes the abuse was meant to punish masturbation

The only thing that really bothers me about the story is that the kids weren't being supervised well enough.

Kids are curious about sex and their bodies. I can remember doing similar things when I was 6-8 years old. I don't really think it's that uncommon even.

There's quite a difference between "you show me yours and I'll show you mine" and performing (or attempting to perform) oral sex.

With me it started as "you show me yours and I'll show you mine" but eventually progressed to touching and other sexual activity.

Thinking back, I'm not really sure how it came about. I know I hadn't seen porn yet at that age, and I never saw my parents doing it.

And those people went through he11 for years.

Everybody was hrt inthat case, kids and adults, by the authorities.
