Panetta Testifies Obama Absent Night of Benghazi.....

For all of you who claimed that Benghazi was a non issue, looks like all those whistle blowers in government disagree with you...Patraeus is supposed to testify before the Congressional hearing, I wonder if the rumors are true, that the affair he resigned over really wasnt the real reason he resigned but the incompetence of this administration & its handling of Benghazi were the real reasons.

If all the whistle blowers are to be believed (because they are all saying things that contradict the Administrations story) then the Benghazi situation was a cluster **** in how they handled it.

Like I said before and got trashed for it in this thread, Obama wasnt as "hands on" as he claimed he was and the situation there spun out of control because no one did anything...actually they did do something, they told the people who were going to help to "stand down".

Sometimes I hate being right. We shall find out soon enough.

On another note; Sources told us that the IRS auditing of conservative groups & non Democratic supporters leak was intentional as a distraction from the Benghazi hearings...and somehow Bush will get the blame for the IRS audits, probably through one of his left over appointees in the IRS. Wag the dog.

This is not just a WH doing. GOP Congressional pols are also complicit, so all O has to do is threaten to expose the GOP's complicity in the targeting unless it backs off its investigation.

Job done.

That was the first thing that crossed my mind.

This IRS Stalinist tactics is scary. I never ever thought I would see this happening in America.

What's even scarier is that the IRS will be regulating Obama Care.

I don't think the liberals on the DP could handle another thread titled, "Disturbing Photo of Obama."

Well, they certainly can't handle much over Benghazi. Although On the Photo.....that would definitely be trouble some for the Raw Powder Eaters.

I dont think that is a possibility. The story has intensified and people who dont normally follow politics are even interested in this. Add to that the Department of Justice warrantless wiretaps (transcripts) on reporters work & home phones...they may have burnt a bridge that they may have needed to help cover their ass.

If you remember on this forum, after the Benghazi hearings last Wednesday it took a couple of days for the usual Obama defenders to get their talking points before they started to respond to the threads where the topic was Benghazi.

The best one was when someone posted a link to the Leon Panetta's defense for Benghazi that was dated back in October of 2012. They have to do better than that.

As the corruption with in the Obama administration is exposed, Benghazi, wiretapping AP without a warrant and now the IRS. All three have something in common.

The Benghazi cover up was for Obama's own political gain to help him get reelected.

Eric Holders tapping the phones of AP is to identify who in the Obama administration was releasing classified information. Releasing that information only benefited our enemies and the political gain of Barack Obama helping Obama to get reelected.

The IRS targeting conservatives is obvious for helping Obama to get reelected.

The Obama administration is the most corrupt administration in this nation's history.

There's one huge difference between Obama's administration and Nixon and Watergate. The "Plumbers" who broke in to the Democrat HQ's were not on the government payroll, they were on the committee to reelect the President that was not part of the Nixon administration.

The current occupier of the White House only needs to keep saying "IF" these things happened. Low information voters need nothing further.

I did find it comical the last democratic President gave us "depends on what your definition of is is"

This one gives us...."there's no there there"

The American people have no one to blame but themselves for this disgrace - you had ample opportunity before the election to demand of the media, the President, and the administration a true accounting of the facts in the situation. You preferred to let the President slide, place silly word games, and be defended in the debates by a media personality who quite frankly didn't know what the hell she was talking about.

When you choose to elect a President without scrutiny and based on the fact he has a nice smile and can carry a tune, you deserve the empty-suited leadership you get.

Not ALL of us. Some of us voted aganst this circus.

Good afternoon, apsdt. :2wave:

To be absolutely correct, nearly half of the populous voted against the circus! It wasn't enough, so they lost to those that really love those freebies! Wonder how those freebie voters are going to cope when they stop, which is inevitable due to our nearly $17 trillion... and climbing... dollar debt?

When Obama says there was no there there...he is referring to himself...as in...HE is the there, that wasnt there. And sadly...that is passing as an excuse. To recap...he wasnt involved in the decision to send more security. He wasnt involved in the decision to stand down the special ops response. He wasnt involved in creating the lie that he repeated for several weeks about the root cause. He hasnt sought to find out who was responsible and to hold them accountable. He wasnt there when the decisions were made on fast and furious. He wasnt there when Homeland security decided to not enforce laws. He isnt responsible for the DoJ targeting states where marijuana was egalized. He wasnt responsible for the cleanup of the gulf coast. He doesnt know who he is supporting in the ME uprisings. He wasnt responsible for the delays in housing and assistance or even the delivery of basic supplies in New York and New Jersey. He didnt know about the IRS targeting conservative groups. He doesnt know about the illegal wiretaps.

He isnt 'there'.

Helluva a legacy.

Lady P, to be absolutely, absolutely correct, far more than half the populous allowed Obama to be elected either by voting for him directly or sitting on the asses at home and passively voting for him. Those who don't participate are just as guilty for the resulting mess.

Mostly from, "sitting on their asses and passively voting for him". Three-million registered Republicans didn't vote.

And they're just as much to blame, many for their block headed bigotry.

I don't think bigotry had anything to do with it, unless you're suggesting that bigotry was directed at Mitt Romney.

And, yes, they are just as much blame.

Its like a game of tag. "Technically you couldnt reach me by phone therefore its not my fault."

When a tragedy is happening I expect the president to hop up like superman.

He was there the entire time.

It turned south and so the corrupt low lifes swore he disappeared.

Obama, Holder, Hillary, not one "leader" was responsible because they removed theit selves from the scandal.

And three million dead people voted for democrats. Talk about motivating your base - it's a case study in contrast.
