Let's hope people comply. How's it going there so far?

We've had well over a foot of snow here in Toronto, just today, not counting last night, and it's still coming down pretty good.

Usually Buffalo gets the brunt of storms with lake effect snow and we get almost nothing - this time, all the snow seems to be on the north of Lake Ontario and this storm doesn't seem to be directly connected to what's going to go on in New England later.

So much for my dreams of Toronto becoming the new Miami under global warming.

They can be fined or arrested. Light snow here in Worcester so far. Probably about 1.5" of light stuff so far. Gotta go into work 3 hours early and won't be leaving until the storm is over.

Count us here south of TO in Rochester NY as having already a foot easily with another foot expected overnight. I've snow blowed my driveway twice already to stay on top of it as my plow service doesn't plow during the storm.. Go figure.. LOL

Great sleeding weather tomorrow though. kids will love it.

it's smart to get the traffic off of the roads, just in case.

I always like to keep ahead of things, but can't with this one - I shovelled three times last night and just finished my fourth go today - each time today it was about 4 to 6 inches - this old back has had enough - supposed to be warming up and sunny tomorrow so should be one giant pile of dirty slush in a few days but for now stranded inside. If you're in Rochester, that means the storm must be circling around Lake Ontario and heading south now to meet up with its other parts coming north.

Good luck to you and hope your kids have lots of fun!

Thanks Brother! I lived in Edmonton for a few years in the early 90's and their winters were bad, but nothing compared to Sudbury ON. Man-o-man, Sudbury winters are brutal, but snow machining is booming up there.

This, what we have here today and expected overnight is nothing. I suspect a Sudbury native would call it a light dusting.

The whole country laughed at Toronto back in the 90's when the Mayor of Toronto called in the army to assist in the clean-up after a large storm - we haven't lived that down yet - yesterday, the current mayor was even asked if he will consider it again and he gave an emphatic NO.
