The amount of snow falling outside right now is absurd. South Western Ontario getting some real snow.

Button people, its gonna take at least an hour to shovel this stuff. Unless you're fortunate enough to have a snow blower.

I just heard on the news that possibly Boston will be hardest hit. That's about an hour from me. Supposed to be one of Boston's top 5 storms. It's nor'easter time!

Lol! Yes, always eggs, milk and bread. So, if you start a business like that, don't forget about the eggs, bread and milk!

It's really kind of silly because if you lose power, your eggs and milk are garbage.

I always used to include Beer in that list... And no, your perishables are not bad if you lose power, at least in winter....The great thing about that is a cooler on the back porch packed with what you want to keep cold will serve just fine.....Also, break out the grill for cooking and fire up the fireplace....

Heck, we were prepared enough, as a truck driver, I have a lot of things that can either run on batteries, or charge by plugging them into the the car, including a TV, so, as long as you can stay warm, and prepare meals, we used to use the time to get a little family time, playing cards, and games, and such....

In our apartment we had two different alcohol cabinents. The normal stuff and then the emergency stuff. Our emergency stash was 2 bottles of vodka, 2 bottles of gin, a bottle of whiskey, and a cooler for whatever beer we could find. That cabinent got us through some tough times.

i have a similar snowstorm emergency kit. while everyone else raids the french toast aisles, i am stocking up on essentials, lol. they don't put french toast around the neck of the St. Bernard they send to find missing hikers, after all.

AllMassachusetts roads are closed as of 4:00 this afternoon. All non-essential traffic is banned as of that time.
