Former CIA officer John Kiriakou is sentenced to 30 months in prison for leaks

Nah...It's clear, now you are devolving into foolishness, like so many times before when your argument falls through. So, have fun with that.

J, when YOU argue with what has not been claimed, YOU devolve into foolishness. I do wish you could see that.

And I do wish YOU could actually have an honest discussion rather than the usual claim, denial of claim, and personal ****.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Plenty of "good men" had tough decisions to make throughout history. I would say like all of us he is fallible.

What you say is true, but I would say Cheney goes beyond fallible to criminal, and complicit, all the way to treasonous. Using the adjective 'good' regarding him is reserved only to his immediate family members, IMO.

I'm trying, but you must address what I actually claim. I challenge you to actually show I claimed Cheney was guilty. If you can't, you must admit I'm correct, . . . If you're honest.

That's interesting Henry. Criminal? Treasonous? Please lay out that case.

It transcends this topic J-Mac.

I'm of the opinion that Tricky Dick knew on some date prior to 10 September what was going to happen on 11 September. If true, that's treasonous.

As to criminal, I suspect he knew very well that the chemicals his boys would be injecting to accomplish fracking would be very much in violation of the Clean Water Act, and poisonous to humans depending upon that water.

Maybe I'm wrong, but probably I'm right.

I remember when this first hit ABC News, and liberals, just looking for the smoking gun to heap some more smear on George Bush all just loved this man, and defended him strongly, calling him a "whistle blower" instead of what he actually was, someone who aided, and abetted our enemies by his self serving release of information, including names of agents involved.

This media whore of a man, used his new found fame to latch on to liberal outlets like HuffPo, and MSNBC as some kind of "expert", and these liberal outlets loved every minute of it....Personally I think 30 months is way too light, life would have been closer to appropriate.

How would you distinguish between this and a whistleblower? There IS a federal whistleblower statute.

The Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989 is a United States federal law that protects federal whistleblowers who work for the government and report agency misconduct. A federal agency violates the Whistleblower Protection Act if agency authorities take (or threaten to take) retaliatory personnel action against any employee or applicant because of disclosure of information by that employee or applicant. Whistleblowers may file complaints that they believe reasonably evidences a violation of a law, rule or regulation; gross mismanagement; gross waste of funds; an abuse of authority; or a substantial and specific danger to public health or safety.

And what exactly do you base these accusations on?

Funny how the distinction between "whistleblower", and "outing an agent" crops up when its a member of the home team involved no?

I don't think I quite understand that statement. Who is 'the home team?' I was just pointing out that there is such a statute. It was recently invoked by nurses to rat out a doctor in the VA near where I live who was practicing on a revoked license. There is a place for such a statute. How it gets interpreted and where can be quite diverse depending on the situation.

Yes, and I am not accusing you of this, but others that were all over the Bush administration for the Plame case, are now somehow saying that it's ok because he was some kind of 'whistleblower'.... It's a double standard.

You are hilarious... funny how people on your side had no problems with outing Valerie Plame and no one involved in that was ever arrested nor charged let alone convicted...

This guy is just another political prisoner in the Corporate States of America. Shut him up and throw him in jail and other whistleblowers will think twice before exposing big corporations and government in wrong doing... another victory for establishment.

Scooter Libby was charged and convicted of things, and it's likely that the Plame things wasn't included because it didn't have legs. Even the Wilsons' civil suit failed even on appeal. So I'd say you're just bringing up irrelevant ****, but nothing new.
