Pentagon to overturn ban on women in military combat roles

Ok? So 1 in 10,000 soldiers died there. It doesn't prove ****. You're trying to compare it to infantry platoons who literally have 50+% casualties. Fact is, 95% of the military who deploy live on a super fob with pool halls and burger kings.
What do you have against pool halls and burger kings?

LOL, nothing, it was fun passing through, getting to play some pool and get fat on whoppers. The point is, 99% of my deployment was eating ****ing MREs and ****ty ass food from an MKT and living in the dirt. Comparing all deployed soldiers to combat arms doesn't represent reality in the slightest.

More than that, and the back lines isn't just there.

IOW, you can't. I already knew that, but I needed to show the firum that you're very wrong.

No one said I can't. I said I liked something earlier, and can do more when I get home. Not a problem.

I told him to remove his avatar because it's a ****ing embarassment to those who actually have jump wings.

:2funny::2funny::2funny:

I'm nt the one getting emotional.

I'm not getting emotional, I just find that someone toting a badge they didn't earn is pathetic and demeaning to the badge itself.

I earned it. You're just looking for away around the discussion.

No, it wasn't.

Uhh, yea it was.
Using an anecdote about a person thinking we should have slavery, is not even remotely equivalent to what the woman wrote about the long term difficulties of having women serve on a Marine combat MOS.

And I don't really care if women want to serve in combat.
Your response was totally inadequate.

She's largely giving her opinion. And if you down to Oxford Mississippi and sit with the black man with the Rebel flag in the town square, he'll give you a very similar breakdown type discussion. I merely shortened it.

Again, not even comparable situations.
One is giving, just pure opinion and the other is giving real world experience from being in an MOS, that directly effected her and her long term health.
She used real world evidence.

No, you didn't shorten it, you just came up with a completely non comparable situation.
Which is why I asked if you bothered to read what she wrote, because obviously you ignored all the material she wrote.

Don't limit them. I think you're missing what s being said. You're the one saying they are limited, not me.
Let me ask you this. I see you were Airborne. Were you infantry on just attached to an Airborne unit?

Are you dying the black man has no experience being a black man?

The point is we can find women with experience who hold the opposite opinion, who we just as articulate. My criticism is the tendency to find editorials and opinions and not factual evidence.

Being a slave, no it's unlikely he has that experience.

Find them and let me read it, rather than just make up really, really dumb comparisons.

Tonight when I get home I will. It's not that hard.

Btw, we're not that far removed from slavery, and you can find slave diaries where former slaves argued for a return to slavery. This fellow will trace for you his personal family history and relation to that train of thought. You can find someone who has or will say anything.

While I have no doubt that there are a very few number of women who could meet the standard of being in an infantry unit one of the problems I have is more financial. For example. In all the infantry company buildings I have been too all the restrooms in the building are male only and barely can handle the men of that company. Are the taxpayer s supposed to pay to put renovate all the company buildings in the military on the off chance that a woman will some day sometime join that company. Seems like that money would be much better spent training the guys already in the military so they can come home alive. That is just one example of wasting a lot of money just so everyone can pretend that the purpose of the military is to be fair to everyone and not to kill our enemy's as quickly and efficiently as possible

And even then, it's not comparable to what that woman wrote.
She was talking about the possibility of reducing requirements to facilitate more women serving and how that could bring the combat effectiveness of the unit down, while at the same time not considering the long term negative effects of that kind, of atrophy on a woman's body and how it is different from a man's body.

Really, you should of chose a better comparison, because this didn't meet muster.

As I've said, I was a medic. HHB Divtry, (divison artiliary).
I'm not demeaning what you did bro. I was just asking. I haven't ever seen you post what you did in the Army. So you were in artillery?
