    Holy Crap. Again.
The devil whispered in my ear, "You cannot withstand the storm." I whispered back, "I am the storm."

Thanks, I've never heard that but strange things do happen.
I confess, I did it, I let the dogs out.

The following may be the story, but then again it may not as it does not specify why two of the four arrested were arrested

Gun show buys lead to arrests | www.daytondailynews.com
DAYTON — Two years after a local gun show was a target of a New York City investigation highlighting a loophole in federal firearms laws, local authorities arrested four men Saturday on a variety of weapons violations.

The operation targeted “private” or “occasional” sellers and buyers at Bill Goodman’s Gun & Knife Show at the Hara Arena on Saturday. Under federal laws, licensed firearms dealers must conduct background checks on those purchasing weapons. Private sellers, however, are not covered by the requirement.

“We organized the operation as part of the department’s initiative to get the guns off the streets,” said Dayton Lt. Brian Johns, head of the narcotics and vice unit.

One undercover detective saw two men approach a dealer and ask if he was a private seller. During the conversation, one of the men picked up a criminal background form “and quickly put the form back on the table,” according to the police report.

“He probably stopped at Question No. 2: ‘Have you been convicted of a felony,’” Johns said.

The two men eventually found a private seller. Unbeknowst to them, an undercover detective was standing right behind them monitoring the sale of .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol.

Two other men also were jailed in connections with weapons violations.

If it was true, it would be. You would need a credible source to believe it, though.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but three in one day is not a coincidence.

another show they rope every gun coming in-you know put a piece of rope through the muzzle and out the action

Read the OP linked article, gentlemen.

The offender was in the process of unloading the shotgun at the check-in table
Show-goer Emory Lewis was standing nearby when the gun discharged.

"When I turned around, I heard the gun hit the table. And when I heard the gun hit the table, I heard the shot went off," he said. "And the guy that was standing right it front of me...it went through his hand. Then I heard a lady hollering – it went through her side somewhere."
then there was the guy who shot himself in Indianapolis, Man accidentally shot outside gun show
and there was the gun dealer who shot a friend while checking a semi-automatic he had just bought Dealer accidentally shoots man at Ohio gun show | Fox News

Pilot writes: "I have never heard of accidental shootings at gun shows." and here are three reported as happening over the course of a couple days. One possibility is that the fear being stirred up by the NRA and other groups has driven a whole bunch of folks to run out and buy firearms with insufficient understanding of the danger. But that doesn't work in the Ohio case where the shooter was a gun dealer, a person who is supposed to have some advanced knowledge of firearms. They man in Indianapolis may be one of those new gun owners as it sounds like he was trying to reload as he was walking to his car.

Those who are strong advocates for a literal reading of the second amendment should also be strong advocates of mandatory training before one is allowed to put their finger on a trigger or that 'horrible, liberal, non-study' which found that a person was "22 times more likely" to be injured or killed when firearms are kept in their home just become true. Then there was another study that didn't find the odds to be quite so bad but still found that a person was at an increased risk of death or injury when firearms are kept in the home.

Must have different rules there. The shows here in OKC, there is an officer at the counter when you enter that inspects each gun brought in and puts a strap on it through the barrel so that it cannot be loaded.

Reason for the accident is simple, someone was a moron. Always, always treat a gun as loaded unless you have cleared and inspected the weapon yourself. Even then, you re-inspect it if you have been away from it before attempting to dry fire. Clearing it is always the first thing I do when handling a gun at a gun show, or even at a gun shop.
Only a fool measures equality by results and not opportunities.

The rules for gun handling is simple and clear. Guns are fun but they are not a toy.

There should be zero tolerance for abusing guns. Have a gun in the act of crime then have the rest of your life in a prison cell. Discharge a gun in public by accident then spend a year in jail. Make the punishment leave a mark on the criminal or moron.

If that is true then I would put them with people who drive nails into logging tree trunks and people who steal stop signs.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Could you please provide a link so we can verify this rather serious claim of fact?
