Therefore, as a general safety precaution no ammunition is allowed inside the exhibition hall. All ammunition displays and sales are required to occur outside of the exhibition hall. It's not about limiting our rights as much as it is about ensuring the safety of the morons who really don't belong there in the first place.
Here in Texas, the ammo and guns are for sale in the same building right next to each other. The pistol I purchased had a zip tie through the trigger guard that was cinched tightly around the hammer. I bought the gun, then realized that I'd left my snuff can out in the truck. I needed to shop more but didn't feel like leaving my new gun out in the truck for fear that it might get stolen.

When I came back in, a LEO by the entryway checked on my gun. He told me to make sure that the zip tie remained on the gun while I was inside. I put it back in the case and went in to buy bullets, cleaning supplies, and a holster.

At every gunshow I've attended here in the Northeast a couple of things would have happened differently.....

    1. The gun would have had to leave in a locked case or with a trigger lock on it unless you were carrying it.
    2. You would not have been allowed to walk around with the gun unless it was in a case or in a holster (and you had a CCW permit)
    3. You would have had to go to a separate location to purchase the ammunition, which you would not have been allowed to re-enter the main exhibition hall with. It would have to be left in your vehicle to re-enter the main area of the show.

Sounds like someone needs to file a hurt feelings report.

Really? so what exactly would you do over a national gun ban?

    Just take it?

The way I see it is the only people with the power to say no are those that own guns.

History doesn't need to be repeated.. Furthermore the UK is a fantastic example of what happens when the government bans guns - the government turns around and dictates, as has every country/regime that has banned guns.

No reason to speculate or comment over extremist fear-mongering. Rants like these are part of the problem, not the solution.

A lot of people can't see more than one solution to a problem.

    I asked you a question.

My scenario is not at all out of the realm of possibilities considering progressives want to ban guns entirely, and considering the fact Chicago has pretty much told the SCOTUS to **** off when it comes to their gun ban.

The notion my question and concerns are "fear-mongering" is downright ridiculous and nothing more than a deflection of an honest and rational question.

Now answer the question or shut up.

The answer is "just take it". It's what the gun nuts have always done, and what they will always do (aside from post angry rants on the Internet)

It will never be done all at once. The liberals are too clever for that. Look at NY, with a 7 round limit and complete resgistration required, not a peep from the sheeple at all. The republicants in congress won't dare object for fear of what the MSM will do to them if they dare "allow more children to die". These are very powerful forces, you are but one, barely armed sheep, enjoy your fantasy of armed resistance, but take note of reality all around you. Have you even rented permission to carry your tyrant blaster? Do you hide it in your home, waiting for someone to try to take it? Did you buy it on the sly so no FFL dealer can tell on you? Many appear to act just like cockroaches, scurrying around in the dark, yet disappearing at the flick of a light switch, lest they might get squashed or sprayed.

My dad's gun club who ran the show would go around citing people for not having them, and then temporarily providing them cheap ones. I don't think they ever had an incident of accidental discharge in twenty years. I honestly thought that kind of stuff was standard. Guess not.

Well, considering that some ROs are old and have not the best eyesight, bright chamber blockers are key to safety on the range.
Coast to coast over the last...10 years or so...and Ive never seen such a thing. Ever.

MOST gun show vendors run alarm sensors that have to be deactivated when a firearm is removed but that is for anti-theft protection. But chamber blocks? Never seen them.

Why wouldn't you make sure a weapon is cleared before pulling the trigger?
