1.) i work in schools and with youths so im there and sadly you are right in a way, SOME areas/schools let the KIDS run the adults, well thats WRONG and doesnt happen in my area.
2.) easy the ones that dont listen to a teacher, thats not hard :shrug:
3.) my point is we dont makes excuses for them to not listen
4.) I would have flipped out! but i would have also listen to the teacher because i had a proper up bringing and would have got my ass beat if not. I saw a naked pic of a teacher who was my friends mom does that count? lol so no its not ridiculous, whats ridiculous is giving the kids an because to act like idiots, or ignoring they had access to porn etc etc

i didnt say life is fair but my opinion wont change that this is not only unfair but its unfair discrimination unless more info comes out, now thats jut my opinion but i feel that way because this is an imaginary line they made up that anybody could do the same for any reason they want and that's bull in this country.

I don't think an active stripper should teach kids, but since it is a legal activity and as long as she keeps her clothes on, then she should be allowed to be a teacher if she is qualified.

If a stripper can't be a teacher, then why should a gay?

And if that is indeed compromised due to her porn past?
And considering (according to press releases) she hid that important detail from her employers?

Can you see where her being fired from this job at this school could be justified?

Now if she's up-front about it during her next job applications and interviews....that's different.

1.) well theres no facts in the OP story to suggest that it does :shrug:
but if it did thats why she would be fired, for being a bad teacher.
2.) again not saying this isnt true but it wasnt in the OP so please link it im curios toknow but like i said ful disclosur isnt required unless its stated for some reason

I figured I would repost that since no one responded or dealt with the question. Why is it wrong? Why can't I fire someone for any reason what so ever? Why should I have to live with someone I don't want working there anymore?

Yeah we should be able to fire someone because they are black, gay, woman or conservative right? I mean let's just incorporate FULL discrimination into the workplace, because that would be good.

Its my business and my property, right? Why should I be forced to deal with people I no longer wish to do business with? Because the employee demands it? How does that justify it?

What do you think I'm going to do to this person I can't fire? Do you think their life is going to be just peachy or do you think I'm going to do everything in my power to make them quit, to make them **** up, to make them leave?

That is either a legal argument which has nothing to do with my statement or a market argument which would work in my favor.

While you can't sexually harrass someone (even in the porn industry) you CAN fire someone just because you feel like it....unless of course you live in a union controlled area. Then unions holler about union busting and cost the company money. Thank god I live in a RTW state.

How does restricting the rights of property owners work in your favor exactly? What is your reason I can't fire whomever I please? Because they want to keep the job? Because they are of a certain race, gender, sexuality, etc? Please enlighten me how this works in your favor.

It doesn't let abusive bosses or supervisors get away with sexually harrassing or verbally harrassing workers. If you don't like it, don't start a business.

Why shouldn't I be able to fire someone for that? I admit it's not a good reason, but why is it illegal?

Because thankfully in this country, we have laws protecting workers from people like you.

However, to argue from a legal standpoint, we have those laws so that a boss cannot turn that harrassment into something much much worse like sex for favors or full on sexual harrassment. That type of hostile work environment invites actions like that. People have a right not to be harrassed at work, whether it be verbal, physical, or sexual.

As far as I know, firing for the way someone's hair looks is peachy in some states. But it seems that the best way to go about firing someone for questionable reasons is to simply not give a reason for firing them at all:
"Under the employment-at-will doctrine, an employer can generally fire an employee for any reason or for no reason at all. However, there are some things that an employer can't fire an employee for. Employers cannot fire employees for reasons that would violate anti-discrimination laws. (For more information on employment discrimination laws read the article, "Employment Discrimination Laws You Should Be Aware Of".) An employer also cannot fire an employee for reasons that would violate public policy. For example, an employer cannot fire an employee because that employee turned the employer in for violating the law."

I remember a recent discussion (here perhaps) where a woman was recently fired from job as a Dentist's assistant because her boss' wife thought she was a danger to her marriage He was sexually harassing the woman previously, but she was apparently putting up with it because she wanted to keep the job, only to have her boss' wife essentially fire her. The courts backed him up.

The irony here, is that I don't think it makes sense to force someone to keep employees, but under the current system, the employees clearly get the short end of the stick. The solution, in my view, is that instead of simply paying someone money, they pay them shares in the business. This way, if the 2 parties no longer get along, they can get a compensation by selling their shares; or keep their shares in hopes that the business will do better later and sell them then.

So we have laws against firings because we don't want sexual harassment to turn into sex for favors? That is a reach if there ever was one.
