Judges say Calif. middle school teacher can't shake porn past, must not return to cla

Re: Judges say Calif. middle school teacher can't shake porn past, must not return to

Idiots. What a person has done in the past or behind closed doors in their personal space should have zero influence on their job. As soon as it impacts their job then yes, but spreading your legs a few years ago for money does not impact your ability to teach.

I believe what she did was in front of open doors and very much for public (adult) consumption.

And it certainly might have a very large influence upon her ability to teach.

Would her being a teacher of middle school aged girls be a problem?
In an all girls school?

Please explain the professional, classroom-experience difference between a woman who every kid THINKS has done porn versus a woman who has actually done porn that the kids found on the Internet.

Not sure I understand what you're asking?

Re: Judges say Calif. middle school teacher can't shake porn past, must not return to

Okay, I'll try to rephrase:

Woman A has never done porn, but she looks just like someone who does. The kids find said porn and get all titillated and distracted by naughty thoughts.

Woman B has done porn. The kids find said porn and get all titillated and distracted by naughty thoughts.

What's the difference in the classroom? In both cases you have distracted kids, scandalized adults, rumors abound.

Re: Judgepast, must not return to cla

As I said in a post earlier, when I was in school our imaginations were worse than any porn video we would have saw. Either way, a distraction is a distraction.

Yes, your imagination was worse. Clearly there is a difference between needing to imagine something and just watching a video.

If you look at this situation closer, you'll understand that this woman didn't disclose this employment history on her job application. I think, personally, that's the grounds they're using to fire her. And, honestly, they most likely would have chosen another candidate had they known.

One actually did the porn

Not really, the distraction is still there in the classroom regardless.

Many people omit unrelated job history and education on their applications. If you're over-qualified for a job, just as an unrelated example, you don't disclose that or you won't get the job because of the concern that you'll move on to something better the first chance you get.

Is there a legal requirement for her to disclose all previous legal employment?

Re: Judges say Cast, must not return to cla

One actually did the porn

and that keeps her from being a competent, effective teacher for what reason?

"Legal"? I don't know. But if a company/school asks for your previous employment history, they are well within their rights to find that, if you omitted some, you've lied on your application. A resume? That's something else again. The application? Well, it doesn't say: "List all relevant employment history," it says, "List your employment history."

Re: J can't shake porn past, must not return to cla

I just pointed out how the distractions were fundamentally different.

Honestly, you guys would likely get better traction here by not denying the obvious. That there is a clear difference between needing to imagine something and it being easily accessible to everyone.

Sure , a hot teacher can cause a distraction in class, that hot teacher getting gang banged on gap whores 15 would go beyond that

How far does she have to go back before she can stop? It's been years since she did the porn.

Seven years is hardly "years."

I'm not denying anything. I'm looking for the concrete, real-world difference. The functional difference. The measurable difference in the classroom. Both have the same result in the classroom, so what's the difference?

Re: Judges say Calif. middle school teacher can't shake porn past, must not return to

I believe what she did was in front of open doors and very much for public (adult) consumption.

And so what? It still happened in the past and it was not illegal. She did nothing wrong. That some people see it as a moral problem.. is their problem. Sex is a natural thing and everyone does it. We have all sucked on boobs at one time or another.. grow the **** up!

And it certainly might have a very large influence upon her ability to teach.

How so? Does having sex with men make her dumber? What if she only did lesbian porn? Does having sex on camera make her unable to teach.. to function in society? I suppose she also drank booze once, maybe smoked... omfgs call the DEA and have her executed! Burn the witch!

Would it be shocking to you that there is a chance that your mother had sex with someone other than your father at some point in her life... that your wife has done it too.. and might even have put it on video... or taken a picture of certain bodily parts. Does that make them unfit mothers? Does that make them unfit to have a job involving children or interaction with people in general? Of course not.

Would her being a teacher of middle school aged girls be a problem?
In an all girls school?

Why would it? Should she and the girls be ashamed of sex? That they have boobs and a vagina? That they menstruate once a month? Why on earth would her being a teacher at an all girls school (or any school) be a problem?

Re: Judges say Calif. middle school teacher can't shake porn past, must not return to

Um, yeah, it is, but let's not get distracted -- how far back does she have to go before leaving something off isn't lying or omitting?

Seven years is "years".. it is more than 1 :)

Re: Judges say Calif. middle school teacher can't shake porn past, must not return to

This isn't a straw man, you just don't have acceptable answer -- you can't tell me what the difference in the classroom is between a woman who did porn that the kiddies found on the Internet and a woman who looks like someone who did porn the kiddies found on the Internet.
Sure I can tell you the difference.

The difference is that one is real and the other is imagined.

Re: Judges ke porn past, must not return to cla

Yes, your'e just asking for the difference between what people think might have happened and what actually happened.

Re: Judges say Calif. middle school teacher can't shake porn past, must not return to

Seven years is a long time? Please. I have no idea what various employers deem "back far enough." That's their decision.

With regards to woman A - the school can go right to the parents and ask why the hell their children are watching porn and/or bringing it into school.

With regards to woman B - She actually did porn - then lied about it on her application and hid any such information from her employers.

Re: Juporn past, must not return to cla

and that keeps her from being a competent, effective teacher for what reason?

Because the atmosphere it's bound to create in the class room

Re: J can't shake porn past, must not return to cla

Again, not with the imaginations of the students. However, please feel free to continue your illogical path. The fact remains that a distraction is a distraction and porn is not the reason. A hot teacher can be just as distrating in the classroom.

It seems some people feel that being in porn makes you a second class citizen unable to participate in society.
