I knew you were gonna say something about that post.

Where did I play the race card?

I should have ABSOLUTELY clarified that I meant some Conservatives but the problem is lately the loudest conservatives around here do try to make the case that especially African Americans only vote for democrats because they think of themselves and victims and want "government goodies"

It is said X-factor, you can't deny that.

    I don't think you're a conservative that thinks that.

And now whenever I say anything about conservatives, or A conservative I will make sure it has a qualifier on it saying that it applies to only some conservatives so it doesn't hurt your feelings...

Not to mention the "meme" thing. Originality is so over-rated.

No it's not.... I believe in the Tenth Amendment.. I believe in allowing states to self legislate, I don't believe in a large federal government that dictates under an umbrella. If I don't agree with one states laws, then I should have the option to move to a state where I agree with the laws, however with the federal government attempting to dictate all states I no longer have that choice or option.

I'm not an anarchist - anarchy is impossible, the closest idea or philosophy to anarchy is communism.

Childish posts and memes get that treatment. Get used to it.

You have that option no matter what this federal government does. You have around 200 states you could choose from in this world if you don't agree with the policies off another. What you are saying is that you don't believe in the United States of America and prefer to have 50 more separate countries on the planet.

It's funny how republicans are held to a higher standard than democrats. Democrats can be blatant criminals and get away with it because their constituents don't care just as long as they get their free money.
What's funny is how Republican partisans always seem to whine about being "held to a higher standard" every time a Republican gets nabbed for some wrongdoing.

There are crooks in both parties.
Now and again, one of those crooks gets caught.
the getting caught part doesn't happen often enough, but it does happen. When it does, if the culprit is a Republican, we always hear that keening whine about how it's not fair for the poor, poor Republicans, and the silly refrain that Democrats get away with the same thing.

I can't think of any such weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth from the Democrats, but it makes sense that they would do the same thing.

Can anyone think of examples of moaning and wailing from Democrats about being "held to a higher standard?"

You see you're doing nothing more than proving my point...

You're not holding republicans and democrats to the same standard -- no you're giving clowns like Rangel a pass while demonizing DeLay..

You see, most non-democrats/progressives will scold members of their party when they do wrong, however democrats/progressives will either a) defend the wrongdoing or b) attempt to justify it.

For a political group of people that generally think liberals, African Americans and people who accept any form of government welfare think of themselves as victims of one thing or another they certainly feel very victimized themselves.

"Oh the government is taking away my freedom to go bankrupt from out of pocket medical costs, I'm being oppressed"

    "The Media is persecuting conservatives"

    "Hollywood persecutes conservatives"

"they're saying happy holidays, help the Christians are being persecuted"

"They wanna make gay marriage legal, Christians are being persecuted"

The list goes on and on.
This is complemented by the conservative tendency to preach about "personal responsibility" and dismiss genuine explanations for events/behavior as "excuses," but then turn around and say that conservatives can't get fair treatment because "liberals own the media", that the failures of their political leaders are the fault of "leeches" and so on.
