    Re: Fiscal Cliff Bill Passes

I would have preferred we went over the cliff, and without any fancy smoke and mirrors maneuvering in early January to back-ass our way back up to the edge.

That way the citizen outrage would perhaps compel the fat cats in Washington to address the real foundational problem: in/off- shoring of our jobs to wage-slaves, out/in- sourcing of all types, both legal and illegal.

Scores of millions of American citizens are still greatly suffering in the wake of The Great Recession, 43% according to last summer's figure, with 47 million Americans on food stamps, including a true unemployment rate of around 14% nationally, with demographic pockets of unemployment still as high as 25%!

All this is caused by "The Global Economy" (read: wage-slave workers in a borderless countryless power structure run by comglomerates), whereby third-world poverty is imported to America, and the only way to extricate ourselves from this global nightmare for American citizens is to face the reality of our state of emergency crisis and address it directly.

Now that the Washington fat cats and their lobbyists live to do nothing another year, they won't be motivated to support we the people .. and too many Americans, grown complacent through apathy, will also just breathe a sigh of relief that their taxes only went up 2% (the ending of the two-year-old Social Security Payroll tax reduction), and they'll just hunker down .. and keep struggling .. while the increased income tax on corporations and private citizens with money sufficient to hire simply now won't hire .. and we wait for things to deteriorate.

Because we didn't go over the cliff, we continue to be the frog in the pan of water with the heat slowly being turned up .. and eventually we will be cooked, before we notice.

Had we gone over the cliff, it would be like suddenly turning the fire up to a boil, and then we'd know right away that it was time to do something, like jump out of this foundational mess!

Washington is simply loaded with cowards, both left and right, who continue to sacrifice the livelihoods and the very life-long careers of their constituents, just so they can "look good", they hope, to keep their short-term temporary job.

And all of America inches more dangerously over a nationally deadly precipice.
You don't trust Trump? Well, there's only one way to leverage him to do what's economically right for us all: Powerful American Political Alliance. Got courage?! .. and a mere $5.00?

Anyone else notice they used this opportunity to delay some of the system wrecking provisions of Obamacare until it's too late to even consider repealing the whole pig? Here's one such.

However, over the last couple of years it has been Republicans with the most egg on their face. For many years I watched Republicans not give a damn about the debt problem. Only when then they went out of power did the radicals come out of the wood work on fiscal and social issues. Then on top of that they sign a pledge to a non elected person on taxes? The republicans hand in the dept problem is fact but those that created the problem not only get a pass but are praised? Tell me how anyone with any amount of rationality cannot see the hypocrisy in that. I find a majority of the Republican party flat discusting.
Your pereptions are based on ignorance and in a time where information is available at your fingertips.

There's no excuse for it or for your subjective criticism of one side over the debt.

We're currently borrowing most of our money from our own central bank as Obama and his useful idiots try and spend their way out of recession while putting a bulls eye on investors and Corporations.

Every aspect of our economy that could provide for real growth, more employment, more money for thr middle class families is being either ignored or specifically targeted by your President.

And its effects are unarguable, glaring and expected as our labor force shrinks, our GDP remains stagnant and you blame the Repubs.

You think we're "discusting " ? Its a badge of honor.

Ill tell you what, if you change that avatar and NEVER put it up again, I'll agree with you on something eventually.

The defense pork will surely continue yet, as with "welfare" and crony capitalism, will simply be spread among other departments, agencies and programs to make it seem like cuts were made while nothing actually changes. Wait and see what happens in two months, as we follow that borrow and speniding can further down the road. When the PPACA borrow and spend machine more fully awakens in 2014, watch that national deficit/debt soar, even more, out of control. Also note that Obama sees inflation and COLA adjustments to SS/Medicare as "the fix", while still claiming to be for the "little guy" or middle class - yet Obama will never cut "income based" entitlements for the great loafing class, that not only pay little (or no) federal taxes but "need" gov't cash simply to survive.
I asked in another thread, where did you get 14%???

And again part of the cost of defense is veteran services and retirement. Lets also not forget running wars 'off the books'- what family can do that? Now take Social Security out of the mix as it is funded by a payroll tax and only count the money being paid back from all that was borrowed.

As for 'defense' we spend more than the next 14 nations combined- is that where you got the 14? all but a handful are our allies. To defend our nation or is it to impose our will?

    Its unreal isn't it ?

There's not one honest utterance out of the mouth of any liberal these days as. Hospitals get to pass on their extra cost of supporting half the Dr Fix straight to us by way of higher premiums.

And people on this forum say with a straight face how they "understand why they need to have their taxes raised" or how ObamaCare is good for the country or will lower the deficit.

Its like a retarded guy with a pocket full of 100 dollar bills stepping up to a shell game and Obama's running the scam.

    Hmmm....alot in this post....

First off "the great recession" is only as great because millions thought it necessary to elect a incompetent community organizer..TWICE..

The damage thats been done to our economy and the chronic unemployment is the fault of one man....well two if you include Harry Reid.

It has very little to do with globalization ( as if this is a new concept). and everything to do with a President whos more committed to his ideology than repairing Americans economy.

Corporations shouldn't hire JUST because they have capital. They take into account many things before chosing to take a chance on losing their principle.

One is the overall condition of the economy.

If your President targets those who invest real capital into the economy, if he targets those who are the engine of a free market system, then why blame the engine ??

Investors and corporations react ONE WAY to higher taxes and more regulations.

Its Historically been proven over and over and our shrinking economy shouldn't catch anyone with a brain off guard.

You must be Obama's lie writer.. you know zero.. your posts are sheer nonsense... if the economy was as good as it was during the first 6 years of GWB, until Pelosi and Reid, youd be doing handstands and have an Obama tattoo on your forhead..
