Iran May Open Military Site to UN Nuclear Watchdog

what i do appreciate is Obama making a point to PUBLICLY say to israel, if it wants to assert the NPT as the basis to investigate allegations of iranian nuclear weapons making, then israel must also become an NPT signatory (and make its own arsenal subject to the same UN inspection)

That bold part? He didn't say that.

When asked about Israel's nuclear program, Obama at first refused to address the issue, instead insisting to talk about the US and its commitment to reducing American nuclear weapon stockpiles.

"Initially you were talking about US behavior, and then suddenly we're talking about Israel. Let me talk about the United States," the president said. "I do think that as part of the NPT, our obligation, as the largest nuclear power in the world, is to take steps to reducing our nuclear stockpile. And that's what the START treaty was about, sending a message that we are going to meet our obligations…as far as Israel goes, I'm not going to comment on their program.

However, although initially saying he will not address Israel's nuclear program, Obama continued, pointing out that the US is calling on all nations to sign the NPT.

"What I'm going to point to is the fact that consistently we have urged all countries to become members of the NPT. So there's no contradiction there," he said. "And so whether we're talking about Israel or any other country, we think that becoming part of the NPT is important. And that, by the way, is not a new position. That's been a consistent position of the United States government, even prior to my administration."

That bold part? That's what he ACTUALLY said. Why didn't he say what you claim? Well, I explained clearly and with a current example, earlier in this thread, why saying that would be stupid and self-defeating for both the UN and the US.

Why do you make things up? Obama is not an idiot, he would not say what you claimed he did.

would appear the thought of sticking something up bibi's anus got you stimulated

Creepy.

so, you think his comments should be read that it is OK with Obama that israel refuses to sign the NPT?
... And so whether we're talking about Israel or any other country, we think that becoming part of the NPT is important. ...
thanks for another laugh
and thanks also for making my point

That "if/then" claim is not true. Obama made no such statement (and he would not, because doing so would be self-defeating for both the UN and the US, as previously explained). He was very clear that Israel should join just as all nations should join and noted that this policy has been in place since before his admin. He didn't mention anything about Iran or anyone's concern about violations. You tried to claim that "everyone should join, this is a long standing policy" was "Israel should join or they cannot question Iranian violations".

Are you going to acknowledge your false claim or pretend it didn't happen? You clearly assigned a (stupid) condition to Obama's statement. He didn't say anything, at all, about violation concerns. Own that.

Did you think people would be distracted by your ass rape fantasy? You can't just make things up; this isn't a mosque.

the thread had to do with iran
and i posited a gambit

Yes, these 'gambits' concerning Israel always show up when any thread concerning a Middle East country is mentioned. It's the same with Europeans being unable to discuss any country there without mentioning the United States.

This straying from the subject serves no purpose except to point fingers elsewhere and sideline conversations towards another posters pet interests.

my comment was absolutely on topic
the thread was about opening iranian facilities to UN inspection and i proposed the alternative that iran condition any such agreement such that another nuclear power in the region, israel, also be subject to the same UN inspection
same topic
you simply don't appreciate the hypocrisy being exposed
it is your repeated meta posts which are off topic
