This is David Gregory on Meet the Press last week -

Note that during the interview Gregory displays a 30 round magazine for an AR 15 as part of his discussion about banning them.

Unfortunately for Mr. Gregory it seems that he may well have violated DC gun laws by displaying the 30 round magazine.

I can't honestly say that I'm not looking forward to the fallout from this.

There will be no fallout, due to the ignoring of the 14th amendment. You must understand the "just us" system that is sometimes confused with "justice". If the system likes you then it is an "honest mistake" and no charges are brought, if the system does not like you then it is "ignorance of the law is no excuse" and you will be offered a plea deal, if the system really hates you then you will be denied bail, jailed and forced to await an actual trial.

If DC cops have those magazines in their armories, then that should be an absolute defense by NBC

Any politician who wants his employers to be prohibited from using or owning certain weapons should not be protected by cops using the same stuff

Gregory proves that criminals don't obey gun control laws. He was told by the police not to brandish the magazine, yet defied the police order and did it anyways.

Hilariously ironic. He undermines the entire collectivist authoritarian histrionics with his own elitist buffoonery. Thanks David hahaha

I had no idea what you were talking about, but you are correct.

DC police say NBC was denied permission to show high-capacity magazine, launch probe | Fox News

As District of Columbia police investigate NBC News' David Gregory for apparently holding up a restricted high-capacity magazine on his weekly Sunday show, the police department claims NBC was told in advance that the prop was "not permissible."

Just further proof that the gun bans will be ingored by criminals intent on obtaining and/or displaying the banned object.

The DC police will not be able to prove it was a real magazine. You can buy these copies anywhere and use them for demo purposes.

yea, the dc police have got nothing better to do than this

Well said.

Just like all the gun grabbers have nothing else to do but go after lawful gun owners. Not only that, but they are perfectly willing to violate existing gun laws to try and push for new ones.

Break gun laws to try and take away second amendment rights. What could possibly go wrong?

We shall see if poobahs in the national media are above the law or not.

Can we say now that Gregory is bitterly clinging to his gun prop? Does he say that they can have his gun prop when they pry it out of his cold, dead hands?

He apparently just flipped the DC police the finger, openly defying them.

The point that it might have been a non-functioning replica is well taken, but I don't believe the law makes any exception for non-functioning replicas! No doubt prosecutorial discretion will apply in that case, and it would have in just about any case.

In any case, I'll believe there is no need for guns for self defense when the security guards at the private school where Gregory sends his kids disarm.

Gregory Mocks LaPierre for Proposing Armed Guards, but Sends Kids to High-Security School | The Weekly Standard

Yeah, Gregory mocked the NRA for wanting to put armed guards at schools but then sends his kids to a school where they have armed guards every day. But then the lives of his kids matter. Not like yours.

Anyone know if Gregory has an armed bodyguard? Probably feels like he needs one after all this.
