snowfall totals just upgraded to ten to fifteen inches at this 20. looks like my exercise routine will transition to snow shoveling for the next several days. stock up.

Be careful. That can overwhelm people if they have much to shovel and are not used to it (and make a snowman for those of us who are jealous).

thank you, and i agree. since losing a lot of weight, however, i have become somewhat obsessive about daily exercise. shoveling snow will remove time from the exercise bike for me tomorrow, and that is one of the few upsides. i am very careful to not overdo it, though.

i hope i can shovel enough to make it to subway. after that, i'm home for the day.

a year ago, i shoveled out my whole alley so that i could get to the store :

i'm still proud of that accomplishment. unfortunately, it drifted back over in less than four hours.

Good job and keep peddling. I have become spoiled when it does snow significantly. The Assistant Fire Chief, the guy in charge of all the stoplights, and the assistant director of finance (i.e. the guy who pays the bills) all live within two blocks of me so my neighborhood gets plowed early and often.

i am also lucky to have good neighbors. the business directly across the way is generally vigilant about keeping the alley paved and plowed. i don't mind pitching in, though. it all goes in the food and exercise diary.

One thing I have never missed when I moved south was all that snow. Of course, I do get to enjoy SUV and pickup pinball when all the dolts who don't know how to drive in the snow think their trucks can drive faster on the couple of times it actually sprinkles around here.

News Showed Dallas Texas getting hit with some Snow!

blizzard warning in effect at this 20. I ventured out for supplies at 7:30; we're getting an inch an hour. the businesses I shopped at were considering closing. I shoveled the drive for the first of many times today as the blizzard laughed at me. stock up.

There was one death here in the Houston area, and it was a freak accident. One motorist had stopped to help a police officer move a tree that had fallen on the street, when another tree fell on top of him, and killed him instantly.

I played a Christmas party in Crosby, TX on Christmas day, and there were lots of downed trees from a twister that hit there, but there were no injuries, and not a lot of damage either. The storm was over about 2 hours before we started playing.

sorry to hear the bad news from TX.

as for my state, the storm largely missed my town while dumping 10+ inches everywhere else. i only had to shovel twice; we barely got five inches, and had very little wind. weather can be odd.
