What you just saw is the House pass the last off-ramp before the fiscal cliff. Buckle up.

Actually I wish people would remember that the Speaker of the House doesn't even have to be a politician.

The Republican party is infested with so many Rinos that cannot be trusted, starting with Boehner. They're having a hard time going down.

It would be great to never hear names like Boehner, McCain, Rubio, Jindal, Christie, LindseyGraham, etc., etc. again. They are people without a party, without a country.

Last week McConnell had to filibuster his own bill now this.Itsa shame how far the GRAND OLD party has fallen.

more posturing. if we go over the cliff, incumbents get tossed. they don't want to get tossed, but they have to look like they're holding the line for the base until the bitter end. then they cave in the best interest of the country, but not enough to actually solve the problem.

remember, it's mostly about self-congratulatory back patting. that requires a dramatic lead-up. this is the drama part.

I still think the fiscal cliff is the closest thing to a compromise we'll see. Tax hikes and spending cuts.

Although it is going to be a train wreck of pain for those like me in the middle income levels, sadly I think you're right.

Yup, this is the same theatre the precedes every compromise. It will pass.
