I had a really good friend several years ago who emailed me a pic that was the results of an obese jumper. I was absolutely furious and I let him have it. I know kids like watching that crap and skateboarders snapping their ankles and legs and all sorts of accidents and broken bones... I can't take it. I know that once you see it, you can't unsee it. I don't think hardening yourself to morbidity is cool or tough or anything of the sort. ****ing gross is ****ing gross. And liking ****ing gross things is ****ing gross.

I applaud the cameraman for lowering his camera and running over to help shortly after it became evident was was happening.

It was a really awful story, and I still wanna beat those parents to death.
I would have to assume the child was lying prone and not moving around. I am a wildlife biologist by training I can tell you straight up no vulture would attack a person no matter the age if it was moving around. It is not in their hardwiring.

90% of a vulture diet is dead or dying when eaten. They are classified as scavangers. I have seen them eat living creatures (usually small)_ but they do not randomly go after larger living creatures UNLESS they are already hurt. They do not have the tools or intelligence to dothat.
