Benghazi Review Slams State Department on Security.......

I hate to say it, but you can see that people are not going to take this any further. You can see the interest in this thread alone. If this was really making people upset, this thread would be on 10 pages by now. The public is going to let this slip by.

You're absolutely right, the majority are more interested in entitlements and freebees.

Notice how Hillary was able to release a Statement that she agreed with this Panel. Even after her so called Feinting and Slight concussion. What she don't seem to understand is she is Responsible. She let Security Slack. She and Obama Dismissed all the Warning Signs. This just Validates that Obama dropped the Ball on the Anniversary of 911. Time to take his azz to task on it. Sorry the Obamabaloney is going to pay the price.

Time for some on the Right to get up into the News and directly Call Obama Boy Blunder out for this. Telling him.....you Sir, Lied to the American People. You Dropped the Ball. You are nothing more than an Incompetent Boob.

The same could be said for th USS Cole attack. Refueling in a "safe" harbor in Yemen? Who thought that was wise? That a small craft (bearing a big charge) could disable a naval vessel, should not have been "overlooked" and no sane naval commander stops to "refuel" in a hostile (or lawless) nation without express orders to do so.

Obama knows this and is counting on this.

Meanwhile, he is formulating new lies to advance his agenda and to cover his abundant mistakes.

If you're a liberal, its never your fault because you had good intentions. Symbolism over substance is their motto.

Slightly more than half the country has never heard of Benghazi, or this story, at all. Guess which half.

somebody connect the dots for me
all i can see is a bunch of monday morning quarterbacking going on

what should have happened
and why is it reasonable to have expected those actions to have been taken

thanks in advance

Cant do nothing for you if you haven't already realized this is a cover up of a cover up.

Mistakes were made but no ones to blame ?

ok, help me out to see what you obviously view as mistakes and cover up

what were the mistakes

and how were they covered up

... Even after her so called Feinting and Slight concussion...

That's delightful, intentional or not... :lamo :lamo

Funny that the investigation panel didn't investigate why the administration would blame a protest group rather than the militants that were responsible. Probably a matter of national security.

That is why Hillery and Rice has to testify to congress, that is all still unanswered. They are desperately trying to avoid congress, Rice takes here name off the list for Secretary of state, and Hillery is calling in sick.

That is unlikely to happen now. There will be some "sacrifices" of mid level managers that will resign (retire?), accept "responsibility", thereby protecting their well connected political bosses and that will be the end of it, just like with fast & fuzzy. NAy high level accountability and "the buck stops here" nonsense will be ignored and the subject quickly changed. Yes they can!

I agree. It's always amazing how when stuff like this goes down, no one gets in trouble. There is literally no accountability.

Just seems like 2 completely contradictory statements they made.
Not trying to pick on Obama and company, but in any situation when does that make sense.

Wed Dec 19, 2012 (Reuters) - The leaders of an official inquiry into the fatal attack on a U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, did not find Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responsible for security lapses even as they outlined widespread failings within her department.

The unclassified version of the report, released late Tuesday by the State Department, concluded that the mission was completely unprepared to deal with a September 11 attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. Responsibility for security shortcomings in Benghazi lay farther down the State Department command chain, said Retired Ambassador Thomas Pickering, who lead the inquiry. "We fixed (responsibility) at the assistant secretary level, which is, in our view, the appropriate place to look for where the decision-making in fact takes place, where - if you like - the rubber hits the road," Pickering said after closed-door meetings with congressional committees.

A deputy assistant secretary in the Bureau of Near Eastern affairs resigned after the report, a Capitol Hill source said. Media outlets reported other resignations, including Eric Boswell, the assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, one of his deputies and another official. State Department officials declined to comment.

The report by the Accountability Review Board probing the attack and comments by its two lead authors suggested that Clinton, who accepted responsibility for the incident, would not be held personally culpable. "The secretary of state has been very clear about taking responsibility here, it was from my perspective not reasonable in terms of her having a specific level of knowledge," said retired Admiral Michael Mullen, the former chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff and the other inquiry leader.

Pickering and Mullen spoke to the media after briefing members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Senate Foreign Relations Committee behind closed doors on classified elements of their report. Clinton had been expected to appear at an open hearing on Benghazi on Thursday, but is recuperating after suffering a concussion, dehydration and a stomach bug last week and will instead be represented by her top two deputies.

"GROSSLY INADEQUATE"
