SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. - Police have arrested a 19-year-old Skagit County man who threatened on Facebook to "shoot up every school within a 100-mile radius" if his gun rights were taken away after the Connecticut school massacre.

What a damn idiot. I hope this guy gets the help he needs mentally. Sad that people get this paranoid that the "Gub'ment" is going to take away their right to self defense. Its an American right and its not going anywhere. Stop trying/threatening to sacrifice the fruit of our nation just to prove some demented point. I really do hope this guy gets help and am incredibly glad this got caught before anything happened. I live in Sedro Woolley and the kids and people here are great. If another tragedy happened in my very town... Man. I cant even comprehend it.

This guy is a shame and makes a mockery of all responsible gun owners and just humans in general.

Im glad this guy had a friend who was friend enough to get this guy to turn himself in and walked into the police station with him. I imagine it takes a lot of guts to turn yourself in after doing something this stupid. I applaud the idiots bravery in turning himself in instead of desperately trying to find a way to prove his point. If only everyone who committed a massacre had a friend like this guy.

That is not a valid threat at this point. What has change in regard to gun laws? Maybe there is a valid case to put him on a watch list, but arrest is going too far.
 
From the article: "He was placed under arrest and booked into the Skagit County Jail for investigation felony harassment."

They'll just hold him awhile and work out some deal where the charge is dropped after people don't care so much and he goes to an anger management class. I think it would be a tough conviction to maintain if it ever went up on appeal. He did not specifically threaten anyone and was just being politically mouthy in an unpopular way at a sensitive time.

"Competition for the most hottest teen" attached to the post pretty much makes it hard to take the statement too seriously IMHO.
