Bummer Story! Not Janie got her gun, but Adam got the gun and shot her in bed, wow.

No one has even got into what mixture of mind bending drugs the disturbed kid might have been on.

Did I say she was lying? Nope.

It's a pretty simple and easy thing to acknowledge that corroboration is important to understanding what it reliable info and what is not. I'm not sure why you are resisting it so vehemently.

Sorry I wasn't implying that the story was just due to one person / voice / source but that it was growing and gaining legs and being propelled into the main stream media. Much
like the anti gun community is thrusting the issue of banning assault weapons upon us through numerous sources right now. There may be only one family member saying it
but there are more than one media outlet reporting it and the number is growing because it fits a nice agenda - even if the source is innacurate or off her rocker it won't matter
since its what the "media" wants to say.

ADDED: A quick search of other news articles alleging that she was a prepper are all referring ONLY to a single interview with Marsh Lanza, the woman's sister-in-law.

Multiple news sources repeating the words of one individual is NOT corroboration. Once additional individuals confirm the information of Marsh Lanza, then we can reasonably discuss what effect being a prepper may have had on her son.

They would like to keep that secret. But perhaps some innocent lower bureaucrat might accidentally comply with the law.

I, and maybe others, may feel that your personal opinion was indeed the motivation behind posting it.

Now, what are you actually trying to say by "I think that horse has left the barn"? That because she was a "prepper", it proves she was a nutjob? If so, how does that prove she was a nutjob?

I don't have to because it's obvious and self evident for anyone who knows the meaning.

The statement below is incorrect. Engaging in discourse would be discussing the subject matter, not advising someone to wait before commenting on the subject. That's prediscourse and not commentary.

The very fact you are here telling people they should wait before they believe initial reports coming out IS engaging in the discourse.
