Not only is the reasoning behind her withdrawl not linked to any conspiracy to speak of (Mccain vowed to garner the votes necessary to filibuster the appointment), Rice is staying on as U.N. ambassador, not exactly fading into anonymity. Petreaus meanwhile, testified as scheduled.

I really don't understand this line of reasoning. Do you really think that the administration and specifically Mrs. Clinton don't understand that she will indeed have to testify? What is gained by delay, if delay it be?

However, I too wouldn't be very surprised if there weren't something more going on than they have said. Something doesn't seem quite right, to be sure.

Didn't take the braying loons too long to muster up the requisite ridicule. How soon until the loons start shrieking that it's all discrimination against "strong, independent women?"

Hillary saw what happened to her buddy Susan Rice for lying, she's been banished to the UN forever.

The fact remains that if Hillary is planing on running for Prez or even dogcatcher, she is going to have to answer some questions and the questions will only get louder.

Rice, the political hack, presented herself as knowledgable about her material when she was in fact a mere sock puppet. It is hard to imagine her having any credibility on any subject whatsoever in the future.

I can't see where Hillary has good political skills. Her answers tend to surround the words "unfortunate", "disappointed", etc. And her appeal in the Middle East, head covering or not, gathers no respect or serious attention.

Without the Clinton Machine she would have simply disappeared to write her memoirs. As it is she is no more qualified for higher office than Laura Bush.

Disagree. The majority of the press has made little effort to shake out the questions/mysteries surrounding the Benghazi incident. Time really is on Obama and Hillary's side. With the "Fiscal Cliff" and now Connecticut dominating the news this game is being played out well by the Administration. And remember, Hillary is going to no longer hold the SoS office in a matter of weeks, not months....

She has been in Chile and Australia since Benghazi and then, on return, she unfortunately fell down and damaged her head.

It's just one damn thing after another.

Don't forget Obama had to send her to Israel and Gaza when he went to Burma. Since the UN Sec. Ban Ki Moon had to get over there. That was a major screw up, Right there. Days before the Palestinians were accepted into the UN.....huh?

I still don't see what is gained by delay, so I have a hard time believing they would do so.

Nothing personal, it was not just aimed at you, there are many people in the thread suggesting that sort of thing. Benghazi is just a non issue, and everybody is trying to make it seem like this watergate kind of issue. It's so nakedly partisan.

She has been inept on every level and only opens her mouth to offer bland words that say nothing. She seems to be hoping that the Left will, like Obama, continue to give her their support no matter her lack of successes or accomplishments. She is, again like Obama, obviously way out of her league.
