Fox News’s Steven Crowder fistfight case: No charges
Remember that fistfight on the grounds of the Michigan Capitol involving Fox News contributor Steven Crowder?
Fox host Sean Hannity proclaimed:
Well, the prosecutor in this case has determined that there’ll be no charges against anyone who popped Crowder on that December day. Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III “will not be authorizing criminal charges in this case,”Now in just the last 24 hours, for example, Fox News contributor Steven Crowder was beaten by a mob, having been punched repeatedly in the face. Protesters wielding knives, brought down a tent on representatives from the conservative group Americans for Prosperity. By the way, that’s the tent that was housing women and children and old people and bystanders; they were also roughed up. And a Democratic legislator by the name of Douglas Geiss — he declared on the floor of the statehouse, there will be blood, there will be repercussions
“A look at the unedited video, taken in conjunction with the statements of the alleged victim and the alleged assailant, led me to the conclusion that I would not authorize issuance of the warrant,” Dunnings said.
These union thugs reminded me of the occupy crowd and this kind of behavior does not help their cause in the least, in fact I would say they are shooting themselves in the foot if not the head.
Wrong!
Wrong!
Apparently you do not know what facts are.
link?Since this was a few months ago, you were responding to "Sig" saying that Steven Crowder provoked the violence. You said he didn't know the facts.
Crowder's charges were dismissed because he selectively edited the video to cut out portions which showed him and his crew provoking violence.
I know all you who said Crowder was "viciously attacked by union thugs" want to ignore reality, but look at this: FINAL OUTCOME - CHARGES DISMISSED. This is what people like Crowder and the late Breitbart do. They create a story in which they or the conservative cause is victimized and they report their fabrication as the truth. And you all fall for it. Well, the authorities didn't. Crowder is exposed for the liar he is, but it won't matter, because the truth will be ignored and the fake version of events will be accepted as truth by the brainwashed.

Yeah. I found nothing on Google or Bing under "Steven Crowder" or "Steven Crowder dismissed".
Dunnings said in an interview that the video his office originally reviewed on the matter “appeared to have been edited.” A subsequent review of what the prosecutor termed “unedited” video helped the office reach its decision not to proceed with a case.
“A look at the unedited video, taken in conjunction with the statements of the alleged victim and the alleged assailant, led me to the conclusion that I would not authorize issuance of the warrant,” Dunnings said.
Watch the video if you want to see exactly who and what these union thugs are. Don't watch the video if you don't want to face the truth about who you support and who you are.
"A Fox News contributor was punched in the face during a pro-union protest Tuesday in Michigan, one of a series of confrontations between union demonstrators and opponents on the day the state Legislature approved so-called "right to work" legislation that unions oppose."

Thanks.Scroll up a couple of posts to sommervilles
Yep! You are correct.Obviously you didn't bother to read the page as your post at #909 was preceded by mine all the way back at #906
Just another instance of the right playing up their "union thugs" meme and getting shut down by reality
Thank you for that.
Yeah I realized that. But it isn't how I play this game.Welcome.
You were more correct than you think. My post was to draw attention to the fact to dismiss a charge a DA must first file a charge. Electing NOT to charge isn't the same as dismissing a charge. So, asking for a link to an actual dismissal of a charge was correct. The link provided by myself showed no charge was filed to be dismissed.
Michigan is a very liberal State
Study: Michigan among states raising poor's taxes | MLive.com
Michigan is among just a handful of states raising taxes on low-income working families while cutting taxes for other groups, . . . Michigan, New Jersey and Wisconsin all have scaled back tax credits for low-income workers in recent years while cutting business taxes. In Michigan's case, low-income families will see their tax breaks shrink starting next year by about $260 million annually while businesses will get a $1.1 billion tax break starting in January and a $1.7 billion tax break the year after.

iLOLSomebody doesn't know Michigan very well
It doesn't show that at all. It shows there is something fishy going on.It shows exactly what I was saying to Excon previously
My previous comment stands. Every person in this thread whining about the "union thugs" will conveniently forget what became of this little case. Many of us have been fooled by selective editing from the media, but none of us has any excuse after the media's little tricks have been exposed.
It doesn't show that at all. It shows there is something fishy going on.
We had the unedited version before charges were even pressed/filed/reported by Crowder.
There was no reason for the State to even be reviewing that one.
The full version shows the thug acting out inappropriately in a violent manner.
Other video shows the thug purposely antagonizing Crowder earlier , and of their attempt to take down a tent that did not belong to them.
Those actions are despicable and illegal on their own.
Something fishy is going on.
No I am not.Yeah, I'll tell you what's going on, you're missing half of the story.
Yes we have. We herd from the Union thugs in their tearing down of the tent. We heard their threats and intimidation.Do you know who you haven't heard from? The people there that day.
You lost any credibility you may have had by calling him a gentleman, as he certainly was not.You haven't heard the story from the gentleman who punched Crowder,
Ah hello!Don't you think he'd be pretty vocal if the police department was colluding with union organizers?
Already have. And apparently it is written in a language that you can not understand.Read between the lines, man.
Wrong.Read between the lines, man. Crowder's crew wanted to rile up the protestors and see some really crazy stuff go down, so they started arguing with the union guys, then the union guys got "all up in their space," then Crowder and his crew were pushing people, which then caused the punch. Watch the video, read the story, use some of that brainpower. That's what happened. And having worked in television before, I can tell you that what I just said is the truth. That's how the game is played and there isn't anything fishy about it (unless you call misleading your viewers and creating fake news stories fishy)
Yeah, I'll tell you what's going on, you're missing half of the story. Do you know who you haven't heard from? The people there that day. You haven't heard the story from the gentleman who punched Crowder, nor have you heard Crowder comment on this story since the charges weren't pursued. Don't you think he'd be pretty vocal if the police department was colluding with union organizers? I think a Fox News journalist might have something to say about that.
