Democrats threaten violence on Michigan House floor

Still waiting for those shovels to arrive for the shovel ready jobs to rebuild our infrastructure from the last stimulus.

Lottsa shovel ready jobs justta waiten. For instance, we could build a bullet train from Houston to somewhere in Florida so those Texans snugglin on the gov tit could go warm the ole bones..Are we could shoot one along the coast from San Diego to Fresno. If we did that before BO's second term was up unemployment would be in the 3% range, the country would be looking for a spot on Rushmore to plant BO's image.Of course it couldn't be up to high on the mountain, maybe just a bit below Teddy.Gotta block the wind...the ears ya know:(.Its a maintenance thing.

Here is a shovel ready job

2009:
• SRS began The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) project representing a $1.6 billion investment in SRS. This project, expected to run through fiscal year 2011, will result in the accelerated cleanup of nuclear waste at SRS and a significant reduction in the site footprint. In 2009 alone, more than 1,500 new workers were hired and over 800 jobs retained, thanks to ARRA funding.
• SRS construction employees reached 23 million

SRS - History Highlights

I already showed that once

Great, so we spent 840 billion and this is what we got for that expenditure?

What happened to the 840 billion in stimulus One? You really have a lot of faith in a govt. that has created a 16.3 trillion dollar deficit.

When I read posts like this I see that you use this forum for entertainment and not meaningful debate. Hope you are enjoying yourself.

What! You mean that you don't believe in stimulus?Think of the multiplier effect of a bullet, say along interstate ten, that goes thru Houston, makes it way to the Mardi Gras in the big easy, get some Grupper fisin in ft. Lauderdale. Whats not to like about that idea? All of that for a zero interest rate.

Looks like the thread is attracting the riff raf now.

Uhmm dude that chart comes from a report generated in January 2010. So it is not a projection but rather a matter of historical record.

"The claim is generally made that Clinton had a surplus of $69 billion in FY1998, $123 billion in FY1999 and $230 billion in FY2000 . In that same link, Clinton claimed that the national debt had been reduced by $360 billion in the last three years, presumably FY1998, FY1999, and FY2000--though, interestingly, $360 billion is not the sum of the alleged surpluses of the three years in question ($69B + $123B + $230B = $422B, not $360B).

While not defending the increase of the federal debt under President Bush, it's curious to see Clinton's record promoted as having generated a surplus. It never happened. There was never a surplus and the facts support that position. In fact, far from a $360 billion reduction in the national debt in FY1998-FY2000, there was an increase of $281 billion.

Verifying this is as simple as accessing the U.S. Treasury (see note about this link below) website where the national debt is updated daily and a history of the debt since January 1993 can be obtained. Considering the government's fiscal year ends on the last day of September each year, and considering Clinton's budget proposal in 1993 took effect in October 1993 and concluded September 1994 (FY1994), here's the national debt at the end of each year of Clinton Budgets:"

Okay Ill bite. What in the world are you talking about?

BTW debt service is lowest it has been in a long time over the past four years.

Lol !!

Well of course it is but leave it up to a Obama apologist to think thats a good thing.

Treusuries are short term, and thats what the feds buying and they're leveling off witb continued massive spending and a low GDP.

What happens when treasuries fall ?

And Cons right, we spend a massive amount to service our debt now.
