Another con myth.

The dividends and capital gains in 401ks or IRAs aren't taxed in the year that they are earned. They are taxed when you take distributions and then taxed as normal income. The same as it is now.

They want the country to devolve to the standard of living circa 1880. They fear modernity and anybody who isn't like them.

That about sums it up -- they are a reprise of the various knownothing movements in US of the past.

If I recall correctly, wasn't it Obama calling Bush "unpatriotic" for increasing the debt by 4 Trillion in 8 years, hell, Obama has nearly doubled it in 4....Oh, and while we are at it, why don't you drop the stupid name calling, it doesn't help people take you seriously.

But, if you would tell us how the Tea Party gets it wrong on the constitution?

Bush increased spending across the board while cutting taxes and paying for 2 wars on a Credit card. That was what was unpatriotic. He left us with a $1.4 Trillion deficit Obama has cut the deficit from Bush's 2009 budget every year while winding down the 2 wars and demanding more revenue to help cut the deficit further. No Republican President has EVER cut the deficit in the last century.

Coulter can be an idiot sometimes.People don't elect one party of the other because they want that party to betray their principals and give into the other side's demands. If they did then what would be the point in electing one party over the other. If I vote for a candidate because he is pro-life then I expect that candidate to oppose any pro-abortion spending. If I vote for a candidate is who adamantly opposed to illegal immigration then I expect him to vote against any amnesties/dream acts.If I vote for a politician because he is pro-2nd amendment then I expect him to oppose what anti-2nd amendment loons call common sense gun control.

Never really cared what Coulter or Hannity or any of the talking heads had to say - I just don't tune them in. This is hilarious though, considering every liberal in this thread outs themselves as a FoxNews/Hannity/Coulter viewer. :mrgreen:

I agree. In reality, no matter what happens here the media is going to blame the Republicans for this President's fiscal irresponsibility. And at the rate the dip**** in chief is going we are all going to suffer immensely in the future. But the media will blame the Republicans. I get Coulter's suggestion, but it isn't realistic in a country whose media is a propaganda arm of the left wing.

Wrong! Please stop being so ignorant of the facts. Obama has not reduced the deficit every year and in fact he has run deficits greater than any other President in history. By the end of Obama's second term he will have incurred more federal debt than all other President's combine, yet you sit there completely ignorant and claim that this President has interest in actually properly managing the country's finances.

Mac, what you have to understand is liberals want to talk out of both sides of their mouth about the 2009 deficits.
They want to pretend the stimulus wasn't signed by Obama and the 2009 budget wasn't signed by Obama after the Democrats loaded it up with an extra 400 billion dollars worth of pork spending. They also want to claim the TARP repays without claiming the TARP spending. Thats the only way you can attritbute the 2009 budget to Bush.

Not if you understand that the 2009 deficit is GW Bush's. He signed the budget for that year. The Right Wing Cato Institute says it best

The 2009 fiscal year began October 1, 2008, nearly four months before Obama took office. The budget for the entire fiscal year was largely set in place while Bush was in the White House. So is we update the chart to show the Bush fiscal years in green, we can see that Obama is partly right in claiming that he inherited a mess

Look, I didn't like everything Bush did either, and Obama did take over a pretty big mess. But, instead of living up to what he said he was going to do, he made it worse.....Even your own chart shows Obama deficits worse than Bush's....I just don't get how liberals can be so blatantly dishonest about this....In Bush's 8 years, he racked up 4 trillion in added debt, in 4 years Obama has racked up over 5 Trillion of his own debt. That is half the time frame, and more debt on Obama....Now during the campaign of 08 Obama called Bush "unpatriotic" for his debt, now I guess its ok though....What a hypocrite.
