This ignored a lot. We're feeling this lost significantly here in Iowa. But aging is Obama's fault. He's certainly done nothing to stop it.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

hahahahaha, i have a full time job and i don’t WANT to work. If i could retire this very second i would. Its a stupid position to believe that people want to work at all! Especially those who are inherently lazy. I don’t think everyone on welfare is lazy, but there are way to many who could work, but chose not to so they can let the rest of us support them. Its pitiful that you have to turn this into a partisan argument. Things are so polarized now that you cant agree with someone of an opposing party, no matter what they say. If a Republican told you that you were the smartest person in the world, you would call him a liar and tell him to take it back!

I have chronic systolic congestive heart failure. Work was taken away from me. And I want to work.

It's cute how Hertitage always focuses on the bad economic news when job reports come out while a Democrat is in office. How come they don't do that when a Republican is president?

Why are you trying to be dishonest comrade? Just because Rush comments about the situation on his radio show, doesn't mean he is the "source of the data"

But then again why bother trying to point out the obvious. That would require you engage in actual critical thinking comrade.

146,000 Jobs Added In November, Beat Expectation Of 85,000, Unemployment Rate Lower At 7.7% | ZeroHedge

Confused why the unemployment rate dropped? The same, favorite BLS adjustment - a drop in the labor force participation rate which declined by 0.2% to 63.6% once again, as the number of people out of the labor increased by over 540K to 88,883,000

So you agree that the number lowering the rate is based more on those giving up and leaving the workforce, rather than the paltry number of jobs created...Thanks for the frank admission.

And yet you’re on a computer right now. I know a lot of people who work from home on computers. Im sorry to hear about your health problems though. I have an undiagnosed myopathy. I’ve gone to numerous doctors for the last 10 years and no one can give me a diagnosis or recommend a treatment. My muscles continue to atrophy and despite physical therapy there is nothing i can do about it. I’ve been told i can go on disability right now, but i know i can still work, so i choose to do that rather than use it as an excuse to stay home. Before you get all indignant, im not saying thats what you’re doing, but for many people out there who act like they don’t have a choice, they do.

That would be because Republican Presidents understand basic economics, unlike Obama, who is nothing more than radical ideologue/community organizer who has never even run a cash register at 7/11.

Bush's Economy for most of his 2 terms was a robust, strong, and growing economy, with unemployment as low as 4.5%

The Housing Crash happened because of Clinton's over-regulation and Greenspan's idiotic monetary policy. Bernanke has quadrupled down (QE4 yay) on Greenspan's mistakes, so it's no surprise our "recovery" has been a joke. Obama's own economic team predicted unemployment would be 5.2% right now if we passed the Stimulus. How's that working out? So not even by your own messiah's standards is the current economy under his pathetic "leadership" acceptable.

On the contrary, the propagandists who comprise most of the garbage you call "The News" have to resort to gimmicks and misdirection in order to transform a turd of economic data into something that resembles actual progress. Have a nice day comrade.

I hope you notice the sharp drop from 66% in 2008 to the current 63.5% occurred as baby boomers began hitting retirement age? Starting in January, 2008, baby boomers began hitting the retirement age 62 at the rate of about 10,000 per day.
