There is no data on which we can draw as of yet. Any claims made by same-sex couples would be estimations, not lies. Also, with a 50% divorce rate, it's hard to believe that anyone would argue that there is any "sanctity of marriage" these days.

Well one thing we can agree on is that gays have no interest in any notion that marriage is sacred. I agree.

The legalization of marijuana, as of this morning, as well.

In accurate. At present, divorce rates are lower for married gay couples. Why?

The ones who get married in the early rush are couples who have essentially already been married for years (just not legally and without the benefits). Nearly every state where it has been legalized, the first to get married have largely been together for a decade or more.

As it becomes more "normal", you probably will eventually see an equivalent divorce rate. But at present, it is MUCH lower than heterosexual couples. While there hasn't been a full study, estimates are as low as 1% in some states. Again, that will grow over time, but it's low for the moment.

That's awfully arrogant of you to assume that you know what some people hold sacred.

In fact, it's kinda shamefully rude.

I'm trying to find common ground here and I feel you're just being hostile with the name calling.

I'm agreeing with JRog, but you only quote me, I assume because he's a progressive and I'm a conservative, even-though we said the same thing together.

    Partisan much?
