No .. the MB from country to country are NOT the same organization.. nor do they have the same methods or objectives or even philosophies..

The need for food can be quite motivating. One of the reason I disagree with libertarians about just dropping many US government

Yes food prices went up, grain cost more as a result of several factors, however that did not mean people were starving in the streets of Egypt as the word "famine" suggests. Anyway, famine or not what does this have to do with what the US government could have done differently to have somehow controlled the situation now?

The US chose to respond to the protests with encouragement for Mubarak to leave and hand control over to the military and generate elections; even after that happened the US encouraged the miliary to put off elections because the only party in town that could mobilize for an election was the Muslim Brotherhood. What could the US have done differently? Maybe instead of military aid we should have sent some grain / food at that moment to make it easier for the masses to get and maybe we should have let Mubarak take his extra 6 months to move out and select his replacement. We very easily could have exerted the same pressure on the replacement to give the people more rights - and more food! But no we had to but in and be popular - that is what rock stars do - not diplomats.

No, they are not the same from country to country though they have the same ambitions and are willing to go to any lengths to achieve them.

But we know that once they do take control they will be corrupt and inefficient, just like every other Muslim dominated country in the world, and soon they will be blasting away at each, just as their recent history also demonstrates.

I think you over estimate the motivation of food prices on the protesters, after all the food prices have gone down again but people are still protesting there.

The MB hasn't been involved in any violence since 1971.. I've been following them since the early 1960s.

There is a big difference between price increases and not having any. Russia had to cut them off due to their drought - it wasn't about paying a higher price they just flat didn't have it.
Egypt can't produce their own; they have to buy some where. Price increases and high unmployment made for some really unhappy people - it would here too.

They are involved in violence in Egypt right now, and it will naturally get worse.

Obama certainly supports the currant regime. Progressives to this day support the regime...

The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamic extremist organization..... Hell, these nuts are only pondering about destroying the Pyramids, raping woman and imposing strict Sharia Law - meanwhile progressives in the US are crying over nativity scenes and Santa Clause with the assertion that it "violates their rights."
