I for one am insulted by the whole 'bear arms' amendment. Do you know how many bears die every year because their arms are pulled right out of their sockets? You don't have a right to bear arms. It's the BEAR'S arms. HE has the right to HIS arms.

    Nice try though.

I remember. That was when you were using that as an argument against those of us here who complained about how bad Bush was in implementing the Patriot Act. And you are right. You didn't have much to say about the Patriot Act then. But you are jumping all over Obama for his unconstitutional abuse of power. Looks like the D after Obama's name is what made it such an important issue for you this time.

    Nice try though.

Not surprised. Of course there will be people defending this as well. The 4th amendment is pretty well dead; government assumes proper authority over new tech even though it's never granted the power. Thanks Republocrats, I sure did want to live in a fascist nation rather than a free Republic.

I wonder if anyone would stoop to sending mass spam mails from "terrorst groups" to people they want to specifically target. So when they show the judge "special" evidence that cant be presented in court they just point to some random mass email as proof of association.

Its not like the news wordsmiths stories or leaves out key tidbits and slants it.

Obama's stance on the 2nd Amendment is well known from as far back as his days as a guest lecturer at Harvard.
Fast & Furious was part of that scheme.
Fast & Furious was just a segment in a series of sting operations by the ATF. You can't place all the blame on Obama, it started under the Bush administration.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) ran a series of "gunwalking" sting operations[2][3] between 2006[4] and 2011.[2][5] These operations were done under the umbrella of Project Gunrunner
    ATF Gunwalking Scandal.

Well, ignoring the silly "Obama wants to take your guns away" comment, stories like this have me wondering how much things like isp proxies really work. I looked into them and thought to myself, "Man there must be a thousand ways around this thing."

**** like this makes a good case for defense spending or what ever this falls under. Because if they have enough money to spy on Americans then they have too much money.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

    Cicero Marcus Tullius
