That's a good point. Leadership positions in the House should be chosen by virtue of their gender and race, not by their qualifications or ability. Judging people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin is racism.

Yes it does. Explicitly it says that they value capability over pandering. As well they should. Racism and Sexism are destructive and have no place in modern politics. Incidentally, Ambassador Rice is the being looked at for the position of Secretary of State. Can you name the other Secretary of State with the surname of "Rice"?

Condoleezza, the other Rice that lied.

    And Condoleeza was:

    A) a white male
    B) a white female
    C) a black male
    D) a black female thereby indicating that when you implicitly suggest that the GOP for some reason doesn't trust women or minorities in leadership positions you are making a cheap attack that lacks any rational basis, but which serves as cover for the actual sexist/racist position that leadership positions should be determined by ethnicity or gender.

I find it very interesting that all of the committee chair are white men in this day and age. It seems a little out of place.

I find it completely unremarkable just as I found the fact that Nancy Pelosi has two X chromosomes fairly unremarkable.

are you suggesting that the women and black leadership in the DNC are incompetents who couldn't raise themselves up by their own merits and had to therefore be placed as tokens by other members who were smarter and better than they? Women are too stupid and weak to make it on their own without additional help? I don't buy it.

From personhood amendments, to restriction of marriage rights, to the removal of protections from discrimination, and even right down to being some of the most ignorant fools like bachman and Alan West the tea party is really nothing more than ignorant loud mouth tyrants who want us all to be forced to pray to jesus every day. This is why the tea party only cames in in religious areas, and why they will never be strong. The GOP seems to be pulling away from them. The tea party most certainly is not for the working class as they overwhelmingly vote to remove protections for workers and to allow the rich to take advantage of everyone. it is not terribly surprising considering they were hijacked by people like Rove to be the loud obnoxious arm of the right wing.

Now part of the GOP is realizing if you accept the american taliban into your ranks you have to deal with every crazy thing they say, and you have to continually go more and more right until you are pretty much asking for papers and running anyone who isn't white and christian out of town. Have you ever seen the tea party gatherings? The last time i saw that many pasty white people crammed into one area was a klan video.

Sorry guys, but the tea party is over. They can keep having their meetings and donating to their PACs, but it is all just a method to strip them of their money and power and place it into the hands of the GOP who will be catering to them less and less. But if i am wrong then let us make a law opening up the books of PACs and seeing where their donation monies end up going, and who owns them. personally i would love to see how the tea party ends up ruling. the comedy would be amazing if we could give them some unowned patch of land to destroy. Without any minorities or dems to blame they would turn on themselves. It is part of the blame culture. there will always be problems, but people in the tea party do not want to own up to them so they blame everyone else. Could you imagine screwed up tea party land without an Obama to hate? They would be shooting each other in the streets and starting up purity groups to war with each other. It would look a lot like the middle east.

this is why no one wants the tea party but the tea party. Even the republicans grow tired of their crap.
This is where some Libbos make themselves look worse tha the Tea Party. Y'all always play the race card. Never fails.

That being said, there's no way that the Libbos, nor establishment Republicans represent the working folks. The working folks didn't vote for Obama. The only folks that voted for Obama are the ones with their hands out.

The GOP wouldn't have. The folks probably, but not The Party. Still too many establishment Republicans who are afraid of the Liberal media.
