You raise a very interesting point re: sexual orientation "therapies" and minors.

Adults are free to seek the services of fortune tellers, psychic mediums or joint a self-help cult like Est or Scientology. Most adults are "adult" enough to know these are all cons playing on your fears and anxieties, all aimed at getting in your pocket book. Policing these types of scams should be done by local bunko squads.

However, a minor is vulnerable to the will of his caregivers / guardians. And to the extent parents force children into potentially damaging situations like this anti-gay therapy, the state should protect the minor.

I don't think this resolution is going to get too far with the current makeup of congress. But getting it on the books as a proposal certainly brings awareness to the issue.
