    I don't know, j-mac, 92,000 people is a pretty high figure.

So are you agreeing with me that there is no point to taxes or are you just saying that our over-burdened wealthy shouldn't pay more?

From what I interpret (and I'm often wrong) of your philosophy is that since you're already in debt there's no point in having more revenue since you'll still be in debt?

Now, if we could cut spending to just $2 Trillion per year then raising taxes makes sense so that we can start paying down debt but until we get that spending cut raising taxes is pure redistribution for the sake of redistribution.

How would you feel about a straight 40% on the postcard system? 10% is quite the bargain but won't be enough to do much. 40% and we'll be debtless in no time.

You live in a land where you can lord it over the peasants and call the elected President of the USA a pimp. Thats gotta be worth it.

You support policies that result in regressive effective tax rates. Period. And you still pretend you're not waging class warfare.

how is that class warfare? telling people they should pay for what they use and not impose costs on others

LIFE IS REGRESSIVE DUDE. but if you receive X value you ought to Pay X costs. I don't pay more for a cheeseburger or a car than you do even though I suspect a 45K lexus is a lot less of my total income than yours. We each get the same value-we each ought to pay the same amount.

No. 10% would be plenty if government got back to constitutional restrictions and quit trying to social engineer. 40% is a rip off just so I can work to have my money given to someone else.

Re: The Millionaires Who Pay the Highest Tax Rate

Then why are you OK with 10%? Either you honor what your ELECTED officials do - or you don't.

Despite Obama's compulsion to create new [programs, there isn't ANYTHING new being don that hasn't been done for years now. So, apparently all this is constitutional or SCOTUS would have banned it by now. Heck, I've seen claims that TAXES aren't constitutional but along with death, they seem to be widespread.

I thought I offered you a good deal at 40% (I had considered 75% but I didn't want to upset anyone). Make it 35% and we have a del?
