REally? How in the hell do you know that?
I know that because I read the damn article.
REally? How in the hell do you know that?
I live in the US so I can do things like this and not fear retribution.
I know that because I read the damn article.
You read what she said. I looked at the picture. Your 'proof' is a self-serving statement by her. The other is self-condemning picture.
Oh really? I never heard of that, tell me about that law.
Oh the horror. Actually asking someone what their intent was instead of assuming you know.
Sounds like you have a superiority complex. For only you know someones intent better than they do.
Oh and I looked at the picture too. I focused on the really big obvious words. Just as she said she did.
No, I don't have a superiority complex. However, I do have respect for the military and those that have given their lives in the service of their country. She clearly did not - nor apparently do you.
Well, I wouldn't and cant imagine a conservative would give the bird to the tomb of the unknown soldier. Conservatives would find that highly offensive and immature.
I would never think to do such a thing..... I suppose one who would think to do such an act would have a problem with our military, and those who have a problem with our military are generally progressives.
I don't see conservatives crying about the "military industrial complex."
Then you obviously don't know much about Conservatives. Not Neo-Cons, who never met a war they didn't like as long as they didn't have to fight it. But true conservatives. Who in the hell do you think it was that first warned America about 'the military-industrial complex'? Jeez, go and read some history.
I knew if I read enough of your postings you'd finally say something I agree with! eace
It only took sixteen months! :lamo
Doesn't matter because a conservative would NEVER flip the bird to a memorial.
Sure there may be some conservative people out there who disagree with the United States geopolitical practices but they wouldn't take their anger out on a memorial - only a progressive would do that.
I know the personality types between the two parties - progressives respect absolutely nothing... It's not only progressives that respect nothing, sadly some libertarians respect nothing while roaming around in Guy Fawkes masks while claiming they're classical liberals, when they're anything but.
BTW, I adore history... Those who are ignorant to history will repeat history and we are seeing this presently with all this socialist crap and "political correctness" which is code word for fascism.
I have served. Honorably.
Your accusation towards me is not only unfounded but highly infuriating. People like you only say thing like that on the internet.
You are the lowest form of scum, to lie about someone in such a way.
Well obviously you don't adore history if you're claiming that the only people concerned about 'the military industrial complex' are the dreaded 'progressives'. The term - and the warning - was first used by Dwight Eisenhower. Now I know some of you on the Far Right consider him a Commie-sympathiser, but to most of us he's a former Republican President.
Which branch of the service were you in? Since you are obviously a tremendousy patriotic individual and look with disdain on anybody who doesn't share your particular view of the world, I'm sure you were down at the recruiter's office on your 18th birthday.
You guys crack me up.
I joined in September.
I was at the recruiters office before my 18th birthday, despite my continual ASVAB scores in the 90's I was denied entry because I had been busted with pot several times. Also, I insisted on infantry and the army wanted to put me in a training program (any one I wanted)... I insisted on infantry and they didn't grant me the required waivers... I suppose their position was that they would not let me just go off to die...
I tried to get in 4 separate times..
To this day I'm pissed and I'm 32 presently...
It's ok, if war doesn't kill me the economy will....
As far as history is concerned, I have referred to myself as a democratic-republican, classical liberal and libertarian, only a person with a history and knowledge of historical ideology would refer to themselves in such a sense .. So if you would like to debate 18th, 19th and 20th century politics then start a thread and we can debate. Hell we can debate the French revolution or the Magna Carta....We can debate anything you like.
it always seems longer than it is.
I think that her employer has a right to do so, if it was clearly delineated in their employee guidelines, yes, absolutely.
You read what she said. I looked at the picture. Your 'proof' is a self-serving statement by her. The other is self-condemning picture.
Not sure if they have the right to fire her or not... my contention was with the glee that some seem to have at the idea of her getting fired.
Her response also makes perfect sense if she's trying to save her ass from being fired. She's obviously not dumb enough to say 'Yeah, I did it because I hate veterans'. So instead she comes up with the only explanation that could possibly save her job.
She deserved to lose her job. She's either a really unpleasant person or a really stupid one. Either way, her employer is better off without her.
If the authorities had witnessed her action they wouldn't have listen to any B.S. explanation she might have had and marched her smart ass right out.
It is all black and white. She violated the U.S. Army's code of conduct at Arlington and they have the right to remove her or if needed arrest her. This has nothing to do wtih freedom of speech.
Arrest her based off of what?
Sorry, it would be difficult for me to debate anybody who calls himself John Galt. And the military wouldn't let you in because you were a pothead? Wow. Go figure.
