Put it on the internet and it becomes who you are.

    She learned a valuable lesson.
What if someone else puts it up on the internet?

I would have done the same (stepped down) although I wouldn't have stood in front of the tomb of the unknowns and mocked a sign calling for silence and respect in the first place. I think they redeemed themselves by stepping down from their positions (which they didn't have to do) so I have to give them credit for that. From what I've read it looks like they just didn't think about what they were doing before they did it so on the one hand I'm not all that concerned about it but on the other hand there are some things in every society that you just don't do, this is one of them.
I believe half of the things I say and say half of the things I believe.

A truly happy ending that we can all appreciate.

Odd that so many posters on here do not seem to have the slightest understanding of the solemnity of The Tomb of the Unknowns and what it represents to all good Americans. Always important to keep in mind that we really do not know who is behind the innocent names and avatars of the posters on here.

Spare us the "holier than thou" nonsense, she made a poor taste joke by a stupid sign. That's all folks!

I believe her leading an ignorant lifestyle is punishment enough.

Her right to freedom of speech. Pretty simple. People do much more disrespectful things during protests and are not fired over it. People call soldiers "baby killers" and "murderers" and there is not this type of outrage. People burn the flag disrespecting America, its citizens and those that died to protect our freedoms and it qualifies as freedom of speech.

Why in the hell would I be offended by what she did? She should be ashamed but for me to take some offence to it is literally retarded. She isn't spitting on you or hurting you in any way, shape or form. She is not attacking your rights. She is not physically threatening you. She is not threatening you in any manner, as a matter of fact. She was trying to be funny and failed. Big deal. Who should care? Well, apparently you and others do for some strange reason. If it bothers you perhaps you should seek some therapy as it sounds as if you (as well as the masses upset) are the ones that need some "perspective".

That's exactly the statement she appears to be making. It's not a crime, but it is jerk behavior of the worst kind, and if she was doing it on my dime, her ass would be fired.
And I would hope that you lost your job or were sued as a result.

Except that wasn't all she did, and you know it.
Yeah... she flipped the bird at some graves. Oh, the ****ing horror!!

Asking that respect be shown at a national cemetary.
She failed. Stop whining about it. We have real issues to face in this country. Talk about not having "perspective"...

Due to nearly constant, even sometimes pernicious situations arising from it, I believe a revision on the entirety of the constitution is well overdue.

Don't even try to pull that crap, you don't speak for all of us. I'm a combat veteran and I actually have lost friends. This woman may be a total b*tch, but that's her freedom.

Our soldiers didn't die for this country so that we can punish people for making tasteless photographs.

It is dark humor. Like Pulp Fiction when they make Uma Thurman ODing funny or killing the kid "Flock of Seagulls". Did anybody suggest that Terentino be fired?

She wasn't 'forced to show respect'. She went out of her way to show disrespect, and then published it for all to see. You want to play games like that, prepare yourself for the consequences.
By people getting upset about this like you are you are in fact saying that everybody should show respect or prepare for the conseuences. It is quite sad to put your morals onto others like that.
