What a cringe-worthy show, and idea.

Larry contributes to a good cause like a soldiers fund or something and then does that, spreads throughout his Twitter feed or something and disaster strikes to those he knows? :P

Hey employer should do what is in its best interests. I don't believe her actions, however distasteful, are going to reflect so poorly on them that they need to dismiss her-- can anyone posting in this thread even remember their name off-hand?-- but I'd say they'd be within their rights to do so. This wasn't something she was doing in the privacy of her own home.

Yes, the name is Living Independently Forever. I posted its statement earlier in the thread.

I would fire her if I was in their position.

What I want to know, is shouldn't there be a Marine guarding the Tomb of the Unknown authorized to use his rifle to butt-stroke her face in this scenario? I'd trade for that instead of the firing.

First amendment protects you from the government, not from being fired by your employer.

Dumb is being kind. Have never been to Arlington but always assumed the Tomb of the Unknowns on an afternoon would have a number of people visiting it. Forgetting the legalities of getting fired or the consequences of posting it in your Facebook I think she is damn lucky there wasn't a vet there who witnessed that. That could have gotten ugly.

I have been to the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor and there too is that silence respect as you look down at the resting place of all those sailors. I can't imagine anybody doing something like that there.

Who seriously cares? It's silly humor is all.
"We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan

Evidently, just a whole lot of people care.
