I've had sugar based Coca Cola and Dr Pepper. Totally different, very sweet and you don't want to drink nearly as much. Its much, much better.

Never tried the sugar based that I can remember but that's what I keep hearing.

The last bottler of sugar Dr Pepper was shut down about a year by corporate Dr Pepper.

Hostess is seeing "very intense competition" for its brands, Lennox said. "These are iconic brands that people love."

Hmm, it was about 5 years ago. Both Coke and Dr Pepper was only available in those little 8 oz? glass bottles and was about $1 each - but you kept the bottle.

If I remember correctly, it is bottled in Mexico in actual glass bottles. Usually can find them in the spanish food section of a grocery store. Every now and then I'll get it and I prefer the sugarcane one to the ones they have now.

I'll have to check for it, we have a lot of smaller food stores that cater to varied ethnical food items, especially spanish, middle eastern, and asian items.

    Bankruptcy Judge Okays Liquidation Today

Twinkies, Ho Hos and Wonder Bread are up for sale now that a bankruptcy judge cleared the way for Hostess Brands Inc. to fire its 18,500 workers and wind down its operations.
A last-ditch effort to end a strike with Hostess' bakers union failed Tuesday night and Judge Robert Drain on Wednesday approved the company's request to shut down its business and sell the pieces to the highest bidder.
