If by paying for health insurance it substantially lowered the value of the company, forced the company to raise prices of the product to where they lost major market share, if the company could not reasonalbly absorb the cost of hc without changing the employee mix (full/part time). Then no. If I was the CEO I would not be embarrassed.

I also think the link to his house is showing class envy?

Health care has a cost. To receive care, it has a cost that someone is going to have to pay for. For companies , it may mean the consumer is going to pay more for the product/service or change its workforce. For the govt (Federal or State), it may mean paying more taxes in some form.

(on a side note, it is interesting how the talk of the "rich" should pay more taxes has evolved from millionaires to people making over $200,000). In the end, those that work will end up paying for the AHC.
No, not class envy. I'm the furthest away from that. I might find it appropriate to do that, especially as you have outlined it, but I wouldn't be vocal about it. I'd just do it. Sometimes I don't think people realize "how things look. And, as we know, perception is everything.

Now, if that works to attract business, why not remove the massive burdens on business across the nation? Why not loosen up the cash flow by making the environment business friendly? That is not what Parasite Nation does. It penalizes and complicates.

So to reiterate about the tax deduction for promotions, we all ended up paying for those pizzas whether we got one or not.

This was on Maher about a month ago. He is all bend out of shape because he will be forced to raise the price of his pizza's 15 cents. Ohh the horror, Maybe he should drowned himself in his private lake after golfing on his private course.

My problem with this whole deal is this why should the man who along with his franchise owners risked their own money with NO guarantees should GIVE his employees anything other than what they agreed to? He DIDNT have ANY guarantees he would make any money with his business, there still isnt in fact. But he should be FORCED by popular vote to GIVE his employees, who may leave at ANY time they, desire health insurance? Thats in my opinion, bull****. By the way its one of the reason I dont use employees I use sub contractors. Its easier for me to relate to them as they know EXCATLY what I am dealing with.

Papa Johns like any other business...when they are selling pizzas and need workers to service their customers...THEY HIRE and they pay the going freight to get the employees...when they are selling less pizzas they dont hire...simple arithmatic that NEVER changes...

It's a regulation man. You don't see the guy bitching that he can't use dog food on his pizzas and all his food has to be guaranteed safe for consumption. It is simply him wanting to whine and bitch over something that has no significant impact on his bottom line.

Exactly why should your employees feel safe and secure at their jobs, lets just do the minimum possible as long as they can turn a buck.
