DALLAS (AP) - George P. Bush, a nephew of former President George W. Bush and son of one-time Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has made a campaign filing in Texas that is required of candidates planning to run for state office, an official said Thursday night. The younger Bush, a Fort Worth resident, filed a campaign treasurer appointment Wednesday, a requirement for someone to become a candidate under campaign finance law, Tim Sorrells, general counsel for the Texas Ethics Commission, told The Associated Press.
Sorrells said the report does not specify what office Bush might seek, if any, and he had no other details on the filing, which wasn't available online. Bush did not immediately reply to an email seeking comment, and no phone listing for him could be found.
The 36-year-old said in September his goal was to run for office and acknowledged that he had his eyes on several statewide offices.

George Bush for President 2020? heh, heh....Oh that should be fun....:2razz:

What do ya think Bush/Rubio 2016? Could be a good one.

I think Rubio wants to be the at the top of the ticket in 2016.

Assuming you meant Jeb Bush/Marco Rubio, I don't think the GOP wants both candidates on the ticket to be from the same state.

**** no - ok. juts **** no.

I'm sick of the 'royal family presence' in Washington . . . we're not a monarchy, here. Blow me.

Geography shouldn't play a part, although I know it does....Ideas should be the most important cursor....We are going to need it after Obama gets done with us...

After blasting Obama for having no experience when he ran for President you're going to suggest this guy run after four years in state level office? Have you no shame.

Or wait are you talking Jeb Bush? Now that we're talking about 3 Bushes we need to clarify!

Well, Lord Obama set the bar....Too late to turn back now....Maybe we can find a Bush in High School class President to run.....heh, heh....

Yeah, for the 2016, I was talking Jeb...Should have made that clear.

I thought that too. I suppose they're different, though. The media crowned them "America's royalty" and a "dynasty" decades ago.

**** 'em - I don't like family lineages occupying the presidency - my whole hearted middle finger. I don't care if he's god.

Some people still want a royal family. I never liked the idea.

you're thinking too recent...

How about the Adams? Sam Adams, revolutionary figure and governor. John Adams, President. John Quincy Adams, president. Charles Adams Sr., congressman and UK ambassador. Charles Adams jr., brigadier general and president of the union pacific railroads. Charles Adams III, secretary of the navy

the Harrison family had two president and multiple Virginia governors come from it

Then Roosevelt's had their fair share of political members as well

the country had a long history of political famlies

how many more do we need? We had Bush 1 for two terms, we now have Bush 2 for two terms...I say enough is enough.

The Constitution prohibits the President and Vice-President from coming from the same state. I am sure that could be remedied with a move by one or the other though.

Bush the Younger unquestionably tainted the Bush name in national politics. It should have happened sooner given the family's sorted past. Nonetheless, Bush the Younger screwed the pooch. There will never be another Bush in the White House in our lifetimes. Having said that, I have no doubt that many desperate Republicans will jump on the idea of another Bush in Washington. If the GOP is serious about leading the nation forward one of the things they need to do is to find new leadership, real leadership that will unite the nation. "Bush" is a now a divisive political brand.

Depends on how bad Obama screws up the Middle East. People have a tendency to idealize the past. Just look at all that Kennedy Camelot stuff that still sells an ungodly amount of books.

Technically those would be Bush's 2 and 3.
