    Obama re-election protest escalates at Univ. of Mississippi; racial slurs, 2 arrests reported - The Washington Post

    A protest at the University of Mississippi against the re-election of President Barack Obama grew into crowd of about 400 people with shouted racial slurs as rumors of a riot spread on social media. Two people were arrested on minor charges.

    This is childish, stupid and undignified. Why protest the fair democratic protest, why be throwing around slurs like that, this is nonsensical.

    What we have here is a person not living in the US posting up a thread so he can judge the South. That's the point of this thread, nothing more. No comment about the protest, just about that it happened in Mississippi. If it had happened in Massachussett, no thread at all.

    But what a surprise... it didn't happen in Massachusetts. Once again, a racism story comes out and it's in the South. The same place that up until 50 years ago still was lynching like it was 1886.

    I was at a bar here in New Jersey before the election and overheard someone stating the necessity of keeping the White house white. I was a bit taken aback, but there ain't no law against stupid.
