Nor do I ever expect it to. But in my country, which if you failed to check, is Canada, 30.63% of the population agrees with my lean.

Glad you've acknowledged my superiority as a poster.

Clearly the media who reported this know more than actual people who were there etc. As a nation we all understand history and what happened to African American's. It was a horrendous point our our nations history. It is a stain that can never and should never be removed. But everyone has paid in full, twice over, for what has been done, and none more so than Ole Miss. No matter what we do, we always get **** on by the media and people like yourself who know NOTHING about how it currently is. Do you think I would have stayed at some hick infested, racially bigoted school. No. Do you think I would have enjoyed it if all of these people were standing around being racists? No. Who do YOU THINK called the police to disrupt the crowd... hmmm. think hard now.... oh that's right other students. And what's that? They were probably white students? OH MY GOD how can it be? It just doesn't make sense! Oh wait what's that? A group eclipsed the so called "riot" met the night after and held a candlelight ceremony with blacks and whites together and talked about how the twenty or so students did not represent the University of Mississippi. STOP THE PRESSES STOP THE PRESSES... oh wait.. nah that **** doesn't matter cause it's not racist. Of course I'm surprised they didn't try and put a spin on on it that soon the KKK showed up and took the candles and started to burn crosses, that would have made a great story, and truthfully it would have had about as much credit as this one we are discussing right now.

Look, I went there, I lived there I clearly understand and know more about this situation than yourself, you love sensationalism, I love realism. I hate to say that's what this seems to boil down to. But I think it does. Ole Miss will never forget what happened no matter that James Meredith comes to all the games wearing his Ole Miss attire. No matter that we have moved far beyond that, and have 20% African American students as well as black students in the student legislature that love this place. No, no, please keep tearing things down you clearly have a lack of knowledge on.

I more than likely cannot sway your opinion, and so be it. But know this, I am the one who is open minded, I am the one who is not prejudice, you on the other hand seem to have a vile hatred for the University and are so selfish and so stubborn that you will not allow it to heal or move forward (not forget) but move forward. You would rather like to think we are all of course KKK members and stand around watching African Americans get lynched, you make me sick. Racism is slowly going away, you can live in your "fantasyland" all you want to. It will die off, because people are raising their children with open minds. And when it does die off I will be so happy. Because people like the KKK and other close minded idiots, and I hate to say it, but you are just as close minded in your own way, will be gone. Good riddance.
And through this whole spiel you did not address any of the points purposed. Do you actually believe that there no racist being raised anymore????? Don't kid yourself they are just a little further underground. Scrape off the first inch or so and it is there. Is it becoming less prevelant...maybe but not at levels to suggest racism will end anytime soon. Anything else is pure fantasy.

Is it just me, or is it kind of disturbing that not one conservative can step up and say "that's ****ed up" or "using a racial slur was wrong, even if it was only one person."

I spent some time in Mississippi and found, in my brief experience, and with some mild surprise as well, that there were fewer friendlier places anywhere, and both Black and White got along very well. My experience, apart from attending university there, was similar to that of Brizzo86.

Anyone interested in hypocrisy only need google 'race riots in Europe'.

Doesn't it speak for itself that racial slurs are wrong? Is it necessary for leftists to consistently claim that incest or rape is wrong or they will otherwise be giving their tacit approval of these acts?

SMB, my good sir. What points did you even make? You suggested that Ole Miss is full of a bunch of racists. You suggested that how dare people stand around and ... I don't know what you expected fellow students to do? Fight the protesters? They called the cops and dispersed them? Racism is dying. It is not nearly as bad as you think it is. Of course there are still racists, and for years there will be some. But if you really think that white people just huddle around the baby when it's born and say "How can we make him hate others who aren't like him?" I mean is that what you think? Dude people in Mississippi are awesome and very open minded. People at Ole Miss are some of the best in the nation. South Korean's Pakistani's etc etc. Really neat campus, really loving people. I'm sorry you can't grasp this.

Wow. Guess you conservatives aren't as big on that freedom of thought and expression thing as you like to say you are.

You should have had the forum's boot put right up your ass for this one.
