Clearly, you don't know the school. Look man, just ignore all the good things I said about the University. Clearly the media who reported this know more than actual people who were there etc. As a nation we all understand history and what happened to African American's. It was a horrendous point our our nations history. It is a stain that can never and should never be removed. But everyone has paid in full, twice over, for what has been done, and none more so than Ole Miss. No matter what we do, we always get **** on by the media and people like yourself who know NOTHING about how it currently is. Do you think I would have stayed at some hick infested, racially bigoted school. No. Do you think I would have enjoyed it if all of these people were standing around being racists? No. Who do YOU THINK called the police to disrupt the crowd... hmmm. think hard now.... oh that's right other students. And what's that? They were probably white students? OH MY GOD how can it be? It just doesn't make sense! Oh wait what's that? A group eclipsed the so called "riot" met the night after and held a candlelight ceremony with blacks and whites together and talked about how the twenty or so students did not represent the University of Mississippi. STOP THE PRESSES STOP THE PRESSES... oh wait.. nah that **** doesn't matter cause it's not racist. Of course I'm surprised they didn't try and put a spin on on it that soon the KKK showed up and took the candles and started to burn crosses, that would have made a great story, and truthfully it would have had about as much credit as this one we are discussing right now.
Look, I went there, I lived there I clearly understand and know more about this situation than yourself, you love sensationalism, I love realism. I hate to say that's what this seems to boil down to. But I think it does. Ole Miss will never forget what happened no matter that James Meredith comes to all the games wearing his Ole Miss attire. No matter that we have moved far beyond that, and have 20% African American students as well as black students in the student legislature that love this place. No, no, please keep tearing things down you clearly have a lack of knowledge on.
I more than likely cannot sway your opinion, and so be it. But know this, I am the one who is open minded, I am the one who is not prejudice, you on the other hand seem to have a vile hatred for the University and are so selfish and so stubborn that you will not allow it to heal or move forward (not forget) but move forward. You would rather like to think we are all of course KKK members and stand around watching African Americans get lynched, you make me sick. Racism is slowly going away, you can live in your "fantasyland" all you want to. It will die off, because people are raising their children with open minds. And when it does die off I will be so happy. Because people like the KKK and other close minded idiots, and I hate to say it, but you are just as close minded in your own way, will be gone. Good riddance.
