    Here is your answer:

    Average IQ in US States

    Average IQ of Countries
(This one has Puerto Rico, under the America heading.)

Per these, the US state with the lowest average IQ is Mississippi at 94.2. Puerto Rico sits at around 84.

    .
Are you aware that about 95% of the Nobel prize winners from the USA were either born outide the US or their parents immigrated to the US?

Are you also aware that if you limit the average IQ score in the USA to people who's parents were actually born in the US, the average IQ level of the US as a whole is very similar to that of other nations such as Puerto Rico?

It appears that whatever advantage the US has in IQ is actually imported or taken from other nations.

(incidentally, an average IQ of 94 is still below the average standard of 100)

If it is, I will switch parties. Not even kidding. That line of thinking is just so far off, I can't even begin to tell you.

As an immigrant, I'll say: present company included.

You're welcome, America, for gracing you with my superior intellect.

Your post is built upon a false premise.

...and it is fortunate for the USA that academic and intellectual immigrants took the Corporate and state dollar that the US dangled in front of their noses, because without it the average IQ in the US would be even further down the list - at the moment the USA is ranked 23 in the world

The top 4 countries in the world with respect to IQ are Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan (all Asian nations)

Approximately 55% of all PhD candidates in the USA today are students from other nations that have come to the US to study

This places the US is a very precarious position, because over the past decade many of these students are returning to their home countries instead of staying in the USA and working for the Corporates or the Pentagon etc

The decay of the USA will initially occur from within - it has happened before throughout history

And the empires of the past are always in a state of denial right up till the end when the walls are collapsing all around it.

If you heard Obama's victory speach you will have noticed how he emphasised the phrase "WE ARE LIVING IN THE WORLDS GREATEST NATION"

(sorry to say Mr Obama - but the 1950s are long gone in the USA)

Indeed. To walk among the peons...

It's lonely at the top, but at least I get a good view of the rest of you.

The US didnt have a space and major rocket program after WW2

You needed to recruit ex-Nazi and was criminals like Von Braun to set up your rocket and space program

Average IQ in China is now ranked 12th in the world and they have over 1 billion people.

The average IQ in the USA has dropped to about 94 and is ranked 23rd in the world.

The most overweight nation on the planet that comsumes 85% of the pharmaceucital drugs produced in the world (not bad for a nation that makes up only 5% of the total world population)

Also produces 1/3 of the worlds waste and pollution whilst cosuming about 30% of the worlds resources and energy

Not sustainable - the end is near
