Dollar Mixed as Obama Win Paves Way for Monetary Easing - Bloomberg

The dollar fell against the yen on speculation Barack Obama’s re-election as president will boost chances the U.S. will maintain monetary stimulus policies that tend to weaken the greenback.
The euro erased gains as European Central Bank President Mario Draghi said the Europe’s crisis is affecting Germany. The U.S. currency was mixed versus its major peers as Obama defeated Republican challenger Mitt Romney, who disagreed with current Federal Reserve policy. Obama now faces the so-called fiscal cliff, $600 billion in tax increases and spending cuts set to be implemented in 2013.
I hope you all are happy.

The more the dollar value is reduced and the higher the inflation, the more the relative worth of the national debt is reduced. Inflation also relatively lowers the cost of American labor by relative-to-inflation continuing to salaries in our service and government employment based economy.

This should continue the path of downsizing American wealth to equalize to the rest of the world and fully integrating the United States economy to the world as a matter of being fair members of the world community as the best method to reverse and undo the unfair treatment by past imperialism and colonialism by United States towards other peoples of the world.

Or something like that anyway.

One day stock and currency fluctuations are SO meaningful. :lamo

Oh ****, save those tears of unbearable sadness and auction them off on ebay. It is a good way to make money for your move to whatever country has not locked their borders to the influx of american fundamentalists coming their way. I hear canada is arming their mounties with grenade launchers and orders to shoot to kill any car with a romney ryan bumper sticker on it.

so i'll take it you are in favor of a weaker dollar.

mmk then.

Actually, i am in favor of the US becoming more in line with the rest of the world. The extreme success of the US was great when the world was bigger, but in a global economy we are simply going to have to correct ourselves, or the world will correct for us. We cannot participate in the world markets against countries that are hungry and willing to work for far less wages and live a lesser lifestyle. In lots of places in the US our cost opf living is way above the cost of living of many other countries, and most of those countries have a lot more people than we do. Now that we have global shi[pping and easier trade we simply are not the only source for labor that we used to be. That is not getting better for us either, it is actually getting worse.

So we either correct our lifestyle and lower the value of our dollar and oddly the debt we have, or the world will be happy to do it for us. If the world does it for us we do not get any say in how it happens.

10/29/1929 would like a word with you.

so you are saying america is what it was in 1929? Well we have these things called submarines and aircraft carriers now. To use the same line our president used on Moron Romney when he said the same silly thing.

what do submarines and aircraft carriers have to do with the stock market?

While we are lowering the value of our dollar, we are accusing China of being "currency manipulators" and doing the same thing; a grievous sin in the world of international finance.

In order to weaken our own dollar, we must rob the value of our paper assets, which includes wealth that was already accumulated (earned) by people throughout their lives. I'm talking about retirement holdings, savings, and bank assets. Meanwhile, China is doing the exact same thing - robbing their own people through inflation.

The inflation war ends up hurting the elderly and those modest savers who planned to have "just enough" right along with the banks. It will make the banks start lending again, but again, at what cost? Do we NEED more credit? Just let us keep the wealth we have and inspire us to create more!

The only people who are going to weather this storm relatively unscathed are the ultra-wealthy. And with that, I'm pretty sure the Rothschilds are going to murder me.

And here we finally have the truth of the matter. The matter being what liberals believe in, and why they voted for Obama. Thank you for sharing.

oh, so you think america should sit on top of the world and everyone else should beg at our feet. That is nice, but I don't think the world wants that.

Why of course, we earned it. We worked for it, rugged individualism.....you know that stuff that Obama says never worked. I don't give a **** what the world wants. They have to work for their own destiny.

Good luck with that. There are three hundred million people in the US and 6 billion people in the world. You do the math on how well that will work.
