I'm perfectly fine with what other people belief, as long as they keep it to themselves.
It's not just Catholics that do this though, many other sects of Christianity do this to.

    It's quite annoying.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

Samhain predates All Saints Day by a few centuries and it wasn't even on the same day, until Pope Gregory changed the date.
It used to be on May 13.

Sin is a sickness of the soul, and when somebody gets acclimated to the occult by thinking its all in good fun it can be a slippery slope. There is real danger here, and the advice is sound.
To practice the Occult, you have to ya know, want to do so.
Dressing up and going door to door for candy, is no more practicing the occult, as having a Yule log.

So what? We're talking about Halloween, not some pre Christian festival that go coopted. Halloween is a Catholic holiday, end of story.

Are you being purposefully oblivious? When people become accustomed to the occult it is dangerous, it makes them more likely to want to. In a sense the occult traditions "in good fun" are a gateway drug to acceptance of occult practices and who knows what. At best it represents a dangerous indifferentism. It is a near occasion to sin.

All the current secular practices of Halloween were part of the non secular practices of Samhain.
Which was later goggled up by the RCC, in an attempt to remove/reduce it's effect.

It's the part of the same reason Christmas has co opted so many pagan traditions.
They wanted more members and they wanted to get rid of older religions.

Why don't you provide a good example by keeping your anti Catholic beliefs?

If people were doing Occult practices, say like worshiping the god/gods of the Occult, you'd have a point.
But they aren't, so you really don't.

In this sense though, it's really not Occultism, but paganism.
Which just means, a religion different from RC.

Most of these religions are not devil worship.

Folk traditions are not the same as Catholic Holy Days. Halloween is the day before All Saints and Christmas is the Feast of the Nativity. Incidental pagan traditions are just that, incidental.

I'm not anti Catholic but more of, anti "stop telling me I'm sinning."
Because you're not the authority on what is and is not sin.

God is and I'm more than sure, that if God does exist, that he/she is wise and just enough to know, that most people are not practicing devilry.
